I can think of a scenario where GM would bump-up an already published "start date" for a new model year's production...
if there's a price increase scheduled for the new model year; it's a way to "cash-in" on the price increase by starting the model year a little earlier.

Doubtful my car will be started any earlier than my TPW. MY2015 production doesn't start till Aug.
