Simple answer. For the complete C7 experience, 3LT Z51/Mag Ride NPP. If you are mainly just a cruiser/waxer who is not a track person or doesn't care about all the wonderful dialed in enhancements of the Z51/Mag Ride for the "one with the car" back road twisty fun and the ability to have 3 different suspension options, then the base car should be just fine for you. Also, if you don't mind that cheap looking black plastic stuff they put on the 2 LT Kalahari dash and door panels instead of that beautiful tan colored leather and black leather on the door panels with the 3LT, then the 2LT should also be perfect for what you want. Many people claim to be quite happy with a middle of the road optioned C7 and have had an easier and cheaper experience finding a base C7 vs a Z51 during the normal thundering herd rush to buy a first year C7. Things should get much better in the forth coming 2015 C7 model year that is virtually upon us.

"Simple answer. For the complete C7 experience, 3LT Z51/Mag Ride NPP."

This says it all. Every review that raved about the car were optioned like this. That's why I went that route. Sure some guys will say 3LT is not needed but after years of complaining about the interiors, GM finally offers a great one, but you have to be willing to pay for the 3LT. Enjoy the car!

I haven't driven the Z51 with MRC, but I have driven a base coupe 3LT coast to coast on many different types of roads and circumstances and can tell you that the coupe handles it all very well. From luxurious touring style to jamming it through some corners at speed, the coupe can handle most anything you're likely to throw at it. Z51/MRC not worth it IMHO unless you want to seriously track the car.

3LT absolutely worth it, again IMHO. If I were ordering a '15, I'd definitely get the ZF1 package, NPP, and a transparent roof (or dual if you think you will need the solid top).

INCREDIBLE CAR!!!!

With respect to the which interior trim level to get, it may help to first choose the color you want. If you want Brownstone, you must get 3LT. If you want Kalahari, you must get 2LT or 3LT. Black, gray, and red are available in all levels.

Everyone makes different value judgments so it's tough to say sometimes; i'd echo the opinion that you should definitely start from the 2LT and work from there considering all of the nifty stuff that it adds.

I went convertible 3LT, Z51, magnetic ride, performance exhaust, auto tranny, black wheels, and red calipers for mine as options. Didn't do suede upgrade for header or carbon fiber dash or racing strips, but checked most of the rest of the boxes for the big stuff.

Default z51 or not

Your biggest decision is Z51 or not, you will see a lot of opinions on this forum. The only way to tell for yourself is to test drive each. This may still be impossible, but it is the only way.

If you go with Z51 then Mag ride is highly recommended. Performance exhaust (NPP) is a no brain er. Go to Corvette shows, dealers , etc to see the various interiors ie 1 2 or 3LT.

Good Luck, and whatever you decide on, you will be happy.

For me
3LT
Z51
NPP dual mode exhaust
FE4 magnetic ride

3LT, due to full leather, brownstone color
Z51 due to all the performance stuff
NPP quiet or loud, depending on your mood
Three ride choices.

I would say for the interior Carbon fiber dash looks great and for the exterior the exposed carbon fiber roof just looks alot better than a black roof or body colored roof.(in my opinion)But,they are a little pricey but well worth the money. These are some of the options on mine and love it!

I purchased a base convertible. After years of magnetic ride (FX3, F55) I had to go without because I didn't want some of the Z51 components (dry oil sump, electronic rear differential [both have proved problematic]). I would love magnetic ride on the base car, 2015 only has additional fluff options. After driving over 700 miles on my C7, I have noticed road conditions where a magnetic suspension would have enhanced the driving experience. {thoughts; if magnetic ride was offered on base car, it would almost equal Z51 option performance}.

My favorite options:
Z51
Npp
2LT as you are looking for upgrade interior
Transparent roof if you get the coupé if you garage the car as it does not get hot but the view is worth it

I have found the traffic condition information on the Nav to be quite accurate on major freeways. You can see ahead when traffic will clear.

Thanks for all the great help. LT3, Z51, Mag Ride, Perf. Exh, 7 Speed Manual has been decided upon. Color and Coupe vs. Convert still up in the air. Leaning towards Black ext, Kalahari int, black wheel. The new grey is another options with the interior and wheels the same. Again, thanks to everyone. I found the Sky forum to be helpful over the years and this forum is great also. Enjoy your Stingrays!!!

i sold my 13 GS coupe with all the options, mag NPP 3LT ,dual tops, let me start if you go with the coupe with just the clear top you will burn up in the summer, both tops a must. I bought C7 Z51 NPP 3LT Vert Laguna Blue Red Calipers Kalahari Int and Top, did not get the Mag ride because IMHO I think its over rated, I live in dallas don't track my cars and never could see the real benefit in the 13 GS. as stated earlier you couldn't get the rims I wanted without the Z51 pack.
