Default iPod question

I have a classic Ipod, and to charge it I have to either plug it into my laptop or in a wall outlet. Isn't it charging when I'm playing it in the car? I was hoping to just plug it in behind the screen and leave it there or do I have to take it in the house to charge it? Thanks

The USB connection charges the Ipod just fine, in my experience.

I don't have a C7 yet and I use a cigarette lighter usb type adapter to charge my ipod.
My C6 radio has an AUX input in front and I was wondering if the C7's has the same setup. Does your cars use the 2 plug on one end to ipod plug on the other?
Thx
JB

The USB in the display cubby charges the iPod. It would be a huge fail by chev if it did not.

Default Ipod issue

My iPod classic charges fine. The issue I have is it freezes after a short time of playing. I bought an iPod touch and it works fine. All usb plugs should charge.

I have a classic Ipod too and I leave it plugged into the port behind the screen and it charges whenever the car is running. It hardly ever leaves the car and I have had no issues with charging.

So if you didn't drive the car for a week, would the Ipod still work. And if the Ipod did go dead, would it play if plugged into the usb port in the car or would it have to be charged first? Thanks

Bluetooth to your phone, USB or SD card. Dump the iPod and move on.

So yesterday I have a 100 mile trip. I get in the car, grab the iPod, choose on the go playlists and choose 6 artists I want to hear. Put it back and get on the road, set shuffle.

Show me how to do that on a SD car WHILE IN THE CAR.

I have an IPhone, IPod, SD card and thumb drive for my music and I listen to one of my 20 or so Pandora stations most of the time. Use a cable to the IPhone and control it from the screen.
