I saw a beautiful white one the other day, A6 Z51, 3LT in Kalahari with all the other normal extras for well under $80K at list. Dealer might deal a small amount as well.
So yesterday I stop off at the local dealer to see if they have any verts in. They have two. A yellow and a red one and both z51 with black wheels and autos. Nice looking for sure. Drive away today the sign on the window said......for..................$99,000.0 0!!!!!!!!!! . I am very interested in the Z06 vert but if this is the kind of game dealers are going play then they can keep their cars. 20 grand market adjustment??????? Total B.S..

sometimes i think dealers do this for two reasons (those who dont have but a few cars like this to sell ever).
1. brings folks in to look at it, sort of a permanent advertisement
and
2. perhaps someone with so much money it doesnt matter might just buy it on an impulse.
i always wonder about reason #1 in cases like this since someone at that dealership knows that the car can be had by a buyer at msrp at most just by looking around.

Don't blame the dealers. An economic prof. told me that the price is set by the buyer. That is why I went out of state to buy for under MSRP.

because they honestly hope that while your looking at that sweet c7 and realize you can't afford what they want you will go down and pick out one of their overstocked Camaro's instead

We buy overpriced houses, go to over price restaurant, over pay for our expensive vacation, we even invest in over price stocks......If someone want to buy a 99,000 car worth 75000.... then power to them.... Who cares, it's called capitalism...

Gosh. What a lot of folks lose sight of is this is all voluntary. Nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head. A deal only gets done if both parties agree. It's called freedom. Freedom is good. The dealer is free to ask any price he wants. The buyer is free to refuse any price he disagrees with. The buyer is free to simply walk away. Or go elsewhere. I do it all the time. I believe in freedom. For myself and everybody else. Including dealers. Including their customers. Repeat after me: Freedom is good.
