Default VIN - When?

I'm at 3400 with a TPW of 7/14 about when will my VIN be known and available to me?

I have a daily conversation with my dealer and as of late yesterday PM no VIN, yet I keep reading that BG has speeded up production from 170 to 180 cars per day and some cars are being produced ahead of their TPW.

Like an expantant father the wait is killing me.

Anxious in Illinois.

I got my VIN @ 3800, when production was complete and it rolled off the assembly line which was 3/25/14 with a TPW of 3/24/14.

Same here. As soon as production is complete you can PM the customer service reps and they'll provide your VIN and build date.

My TPW was 7/7. I got my VIN yesterday and the Chevy order tracking shows I am now in shipping. So you are very close. It will happen soon.

Thanks, I need the VIN to get my Vanity Plates back, and from my conversations with the IL Sec of State office it could take onwards of 30 days for the documents to flow back and fourth. Ideally I would have my new registration and plate decal in hand when my car arrives my dealer and they can just bolt my plates on and I'm off. If not I'll need to buy new plates (about $120) and then discard them when the Vanity plate registration is sent.

No big deal, but I hate pissing away $120 for plates I'll only use for a few weeks.

Cheers

MN will not let you apply for vanity plates until the original registration is complete. On one of my motorcycles when I got my papers 30 days later the wording I wanted which was available I registered ....had been taken!!! I've since found they guy with the plate and we have a good laugh over it.
