Okay, so I know this is not exactly "news" to virtually any C7 owner, but just today, while driving the speed limit on the inside lane of a four lane, I spotted in my right side rear view mirror, an old Mazda sedan coming up on me like a NASCAR newbie. I maintained my speed as it took him a couple of minutes to come up side by side. I could feel eyes on me so I nonchalantly glanced over my right shoulder. There was the driver grinning broadly while snapping pics on his smart phone of my C7 convertible through his somewhat dirty drivers window. I got a little nervous as I looked over a couple more times and he was still gawking at my 'Vette and snapping away. I was actively praying he would turn his gaze back to the front of his car before he ran into an old lady in a Buick, or worse a recovering no license DUI dude on a moped. Finally, my smiling friend peeled off to a side street, but not before waving and grinning and waving and grinning...
Actually, now that I think about it, I guess it wasn't so bad after all....
Day before yesterday, I was in the fast lane on I10 doing 75 in a 75 passing slower traffic and a jacked up Dodge diesel pickup came up fast and planted himself on my bumper so that I couldn’t see his out of the mirrors.
I pulled into the right lane as soon as practical. He roared off, giving me a thumbs up. I was expecting the finger, thumbs up is much better. Don

Have you noticed a lot of guys in muscle cars, like Challengers, Mustangs, etc, have to rev their engines or floor it, when they spot you ready to pull out onto a street, or you are oncoming traffic to them? Happened 3 times to me already, one was a freakin' Mercedes roadster! sounded like crap too!

My favorite is the teen-age kid in the Honda Civic reving there fart cans and then downshifting to pass you. I smile, and let them go, after all they can brag how the beat a C7

They’re also probably the same clowns that stick “TURBO” tags on cars that never came with a turbo and theirs certainly doesn’t have an aftermarket turbo. Don

I think my favorite was the old non-SHO 4 door Taurus.....
The driver of a Ford SVT-Lighting was amused after I got bored and waved bye-bye...
I had a car with two teenagers pull up next to me in a parking lot as I was backing in and tell me they "loved my car" and then pulled away!
That was it, Lol.

They usually add one or two of those fake, stick on CF hood scoops too!
Last weekend a guy in a new black CL63 AMG whipped over into the left of two turn lanes so I could take the other one. He rolled down the window and gave a big smiling thumbs up and said "love your car!". I pointed at his biturbo emblem, smiled and said "really?". He says, "I'll trade you any day."
As we made the turn he hit it and it sounded great but just as temptation set in I saw his brake lights, then saw the patrol car at the next stop sign around the bend. Nice guy and a spotter - so much for stereotypes.
The day I picked my car up, I had a guy in a GT500 point excitedly, trying to get his buddy's attention, as I drove buy. His jaw dropped, immediately followed by a smile. I was only about two miles off the dealership lot. THAT was satisfying

....just had another great encounter...stopped at a Ford dealer to check on a recall on our Ford Flex....parked the C7 in an open area to prevent door nicks, car could be seen from the showroom. Needless to say, a crowd formed at the car. You can guess the rest.
