Default 2015 price increase?

Why is everyone assuming there will be a price increase for 2015? Was there some sort of documentation of this happening like the mid year increase? Just curious, may be looking to order a 2015

I believe the assumption of a price increase is based on the high demand for the car.

Sorry, but they would be crazy to leave the price alone, they can do at least 2-3%. The price right now is elastic.

One dealer I've talked to expected more than 1 price increase on the 2014 C7, so I'd be surprised if it doesn't go up a bit. I'm hoping its a reasonable increase and not based on the high demand as been mentioned. Maybe 1 to 2k?

When I ordered my 2015, the dealer told me to expect a 1 1/2 to 2 % increase.

There will be a price increase just based on the additional equipment that is going into the car (4G, 8A and whatever they are calling the recording and telemetry thingy).

the added standard options won't be free. NNP for one. There's a few more too.

What new standard options are being added? I know the exhaust is part of the Z51 package and now you can get the recording thing with the navigation option but anything else?

I am cross shopping a 2lt z51, BMW M3/M4 and maybe a Challenger Hellcat

Somewhere on this forum, there's a list of the changes for the 2015 with all the standard options that were once extra cost options on the 2014's. You'll have to do a search. With the changes that will be made, common sense would tell you that they can't be free. It's just another way to simplify the ordering process by having better packages to chose from and less little things to fill orders. A number of post have said there will be an increase of 1% to 2%. I guess we will find out soon.

The upper suede was a $995.00 option, and the NNP exhaust was also a $995.00 option. And do you think the eight speed transmission is the same cost as the six speed? Like I said, we will know soon enough.

Now if you're talking about a car with zero options? No auto either?

I do. It's the "5" in 2015 that will increase the Price.

A 2014 and a 2015 sitting on the Showroom Floor with the same MSRP on the Sticker won't happen. With the popularity and bang for the buck the C7 projects, they would be foolish not to increase the Price.

Maybe GM developed the eight speed for better performance and fuel economy at a cost of millions, but most importantly, they wanted to be extra nice to us and give it to us at no addition cost over the six speed.

At the very least, the new 4G system, VV4, will add some, as all corvettes come with OnStar installed. Whether you use it after the trail period is your only "option." Judging from the write ups I have seen on Cnet and a couple other tech sites, there is a lot to this upgrade including a wifi hotspot.

I bet it well be about 1K then mid year another 1K. I'm ok with that because of the nice improvements. The only other things is the cost of Z51 up because of demand, they may charge a little more for the automatic due the new 8 speed. Then you have to take in the cost of all the recalls they are having now. No inflation, what inflation that what the government would like you to think.

Default no increase for 15

Take this for whatever it is worth. At Bloomington Gold a Corvette marketing guy announced:

No price increase of the base model
Z51 price would go up, NNP is included
A8 price would go up.

The car is a winner and the market will tolerate at least a modest bump. Some folks wee paying MSRP+ on the 2014s.
