Some will say they will not save your wheels. I say anything that makes it harder to get them off is a discouragement and worth the cost. Here's what I use:

What does everyone use? And where to get them? I have a C& w the base Silver wheels.
Thanks,
You can buy from your Chevy dealer. However I have used McGard for years, work great. The part number for chrome is 24137. Google the name and part number and find many suppliers at much lower than Chevy prices. In fact the Chevy locks are made by McGard! One suggestion, when you get them, order another key, just in case. I keep one in the Vette and one in my tool box.

I agree! I use the gorilla locks on my C7 and used them on my prior C6. 5 locking nuts on each will not only serve as a deterrent to would be thieves but will also make it a much slower process if they decide to try which increases the likelihood of them getting caught or failing in their attempt. Any deterrent is better than doing nothing at all! You can purchase them from our forum vendors or even Amazon.
While I agree that they are better than nothing, after having several of them crack on me over the years (and I'm under 30 so that's saying a lot), I've determined that they are not worth it for my situation. I'd fully expect someone to just try to steal the whole car than try to steal just rims. It's not a minivan with $10k in rims (yes these frequent my area).
I'd personally rather have a decent alarm system that let me know when someone was trying to rip off my rims so that I could arm myself and go investigate.

About 20 years ago I picked up Gorilla locks for my truck at a local auto parts store. When removing a wheel the key sheared! I was fortunate to be able to get it off with quite a bit of work! I'm sure they have improved but since that time I have ordered McGard locks and never had a problem. They are very well made, which may be why Chevy buys from them.

I went with the Gorilla lugs "The System" not really as an theft deterrent, but because the lugs were black and had bullet shaped ends and looked great on the black z51 wheels.
Plus, they don't have that stupid "key" hole on the face of the lug...
the Gorilla's locking keys are located at the base of the lug and
invisible from the front view....
To each his own, your choice but McGard has black lug nuts as well as locks in black. I bought both from Jegs for my C6. Not sure Chevy has them in black but they are less expensive under the McGard name which is who package them for Chevy. The finish holds up very well.

They are pointless - I could have one off in seconds. All you have to is id take a mallet and a bit that is slightly larger than the wheel lock - force/hammer it on and then crank away and there goes the locking bolts

The people who have lost wheels and posted pictures of their cars on blocks have all had their cars in their driveways. And of course no locks. Do you really think that a thief will as you say "force/hammer" 20 locks in the middle of a quiet night. I don't think so.
