Default Quick oil level question

I have a Z51. If you go exactly by the directions in the owners manual, when you check the engine oil, should the level be half way between the hash marks or at the top of the hash marks? Thanks

If you go exactly by the directions in the owners manual, it would be at the top of the hash marks. That said, most on the forum would suggest keeping it in the middle to mitigate the potential for oil to enter the intake track. FWIW: I keep mine in the middle.

I do the same, half way. Be sure the oil is hot ( believe it is suggested 175 F) and wait minimum of 5 maximum of 10 minutes before checking.
