I always wave. Doesn't matter, C1 through C7. It's their problem if they don't wave back.
Same here. I find that the ones who return the wave least often are driving the older generations, like C2s or C3s. Sometimes a quick headlight flash is used in place of the wave. That works too, it's a simple acknowledgement.
This is my first corvette and I catch other vettes giving me the wave but I don't usually even realize it until its way to late to wave back....Sorry!!!
On a side note I just bought my Girlfriend a 14' Ford Raptor and apparently there is a Raptor wave too
I met 6 C7s last night between Tecumseh Mi & Brooklyn Mi about 7: 15 I waved at them & they didnt wave back I was driving a 1964 silver Vette & maybee they didnt know I was driving a Vette or didnt know they were supposed to wave back
The only thing you need to know is that some folks wave, and some don't. If you wave and they don't...let it go. Don't let it bother you. Some wave, and some don't. Thats all you need to remember.
On the way to work today, I had a lovely Woman driving a Red C6 pull up next to me in Traffic.
She rolled down the passenger window to tell me how much she liked my Car and that she thought the Personalized License Plate was pretty cool.
I usually give a wave to other Vette Drivers and sometimes I flash the lights if there is one sitting across from me at an Intersection waiting for the Light.
It's either a Club or a Cult. Haven't figured that out yet. LOL
I guess I should have left the car show early too Dave. By the way the tickets you gave me did not win a thing. Would they have waved to me in my 1969 Camaro Pace Car, probably not.
What do you guys do when someone passes you and gives a thumbs up? If they're slowly passing and I see it I wave. But when they're fast they're already ahead of you.

And trust me, it's not limited to only C7 owners. More and more earlier generation owners do not wave. Perhaps it is because the cars are getting more and more affordable and more and more first timers are getting into Corvette ownership.
I think you all are making too big an issue about it.
Wave if you see one, and don't worry if you don't' see them waving back. Wait! It will come around and be fashionable, again, just like a wave in a stadium will eventually roll around and get back to you.
I have just started to notice c7's popping up around my part of town. I wave at them all and only manage to get a wave back once in a while. It hurts me to say I think the wave is dieing or is dead. I do notice that a lot of later gen vettes c6 and 5 mainly won't even look at the stingray. Now when im at the dealership oh everyone wants to talk about it.

I think I've gotten only one return wave since I got the car in July.

Yep, way back when I had a new C3...ALL Vettes waved with very few exceptions....now days, not so much.
I guess quite a few C7 drivers are new to Vette culture (like me ) and I don't generally wave at anyone no matter what they are driving because no one around here does that.
