is it true we can.t have navigation without purchasing a useless intergrated pdr for an extra $800; total navigation cost is now $1800?

Yes. And it depends on your perspective. I get the fantastic PDR and am stuck with a useless Nav.

Since 2005 when navigation was first offered it was a package. $1400 then and it even had a HOME feature and the ability to find locations by phone #. Progress?

So I would assume then that you don't know that you can enter any navigation address as a favorite (address, contact with an address, POI) to a memory button that is better than a home feature since it can be used from any app in the infotainment system (just bring up the memory buttons and press the address) and navigate to it without even having to be in the navigation app. So, where previously you would need to be in the navigation system and press the destination button you could then press the home icon. Now you can be in any program on any page and call it up with a pair of button presses.

As to the finding locations by phone number. Now, instead of having to be in a specific mode to enter a phone number you can now simply type the phone number in the POI search field (which is the only place that the C6 would look for phone number searches) and if the phone number is in the system it will find it and bring it up?

So yes, progress.

It also went up to $1600 in 06 and $1750 in 07 and added Blue tooth in 09.
