Interesting - so the dealers that post the constraints, those constraints only apply for that dealer for the allocations that they have been given at that time. I assume the percentage available that is posted with the constraints applies to all dealers not just one.
I really don't know as I have never purchased a vehicle before where I was worried about whether or not there were allocations / availability for options, etc. The dealer had just told me that they only had one allocation for a carbon fiber roof when I had order my vehicle and they were unsure if I would be able to get it or not out of the orders that had been placed but thankfully none of the other orders they were processing had the cf roof and so I was able to score the single allocation left for the cf roof is my understanding.
Most of the constraints we see posted here are national and the posting makes that clear. Every once in a while we see a posting reflecting the number a specific dealer may order, but those are seldom seen.
I would think constraints are distributed in the same fashion that allocations are: what the dealer has done in the past directly leads to what will be allocated in the future.
Although this runs against prevailing forum sentiment, the allocation system was devised to protect the smaller dealers and it is only because a higher portion o Corvette buyers prefer doing an individual order with their dealer of preference that forces questioning.
Corvette allocations are distributed in the same way Silverado allocations are.

I have posted the weekly allocations several times. The percentages reflect the nationwide availability. This percentage will vary for each dealer. Some will get a higher percentage, some will get a lower percentage.
GM always has supplier issues. Some of the parts on constraint now didn't even show up during pre-production builds of the C7.
I don't get how you introduce the Body Color Vent option, and then not have any in stock. Either the supplier is ready or not.
The same goes for the Clear Film. It is an excellent idea, but if you are offering it make sure your process is down so you don't have to cancel it and look foolish.
