Forget those, a year into it the base roof (CFA) is still a problem? That's just ridiculous.

I have carbon fiber interior as well (FAY)

I hope I don't have to drop both CFZ and FAY to get my build started. I'm already freaking out about the dealer installing CFZ afterwards, touching the interior with the FAY option is even more frightening. I hate to take the risk of introducing any squeaks.

I just want everything out of the factory! Help us out GM, get your parts in order!

Why did GM offer a color that you can't get?
G1H ORANGE EXTERIOR PAINT

I decided to drop the CFZ option from my order. Once I see it on other cars, will then decide to have it installed or not.

Not uncommon for a new color to be delayed availability.

How was the FAY install? Did you do it yourself or dealer installed?

Anyone who fears installing FAY themselves...

DONT!!!!

There are no squeaks or rattles. I installed my own 4 months ago. You guys don't realize how well this dash is put in compared to past Corvettes. There must be almost 20 fasteners to hold it in.

IT WILL NOT rattle or squeak!!!!!!

I got an e-mail this morning from my dealer. My order was placed on 7/31 and was picked up by GM this morning. My 2015 is a convertible Z 51 with carbon fiber dash and Q7E chrome wheels. He said there was NO constraints on it. There was no more information on it however.

It cracks me up that the only roof panel not on the onstrained list is the transparent top...

how can that be after a full year of production!

So the Carbon Fiber Dash AND the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package are BOTH on constraints but are easy to install yourself and can be ordered from a dealer later on?

Downsides: You or dealer ($$$) have to install it and you can't wrap up the combined $4k price tag into the financing of the vehicle :/

Pros: You get your order kicked off sooner.

That right?

Is it true that the constraints may vary from dealer to dealer during the same period of time. Some may be able to order an option while other dealers cannot order that same option and all of this is controlled by GM on who gets what.
It is actually not first come first served - Just wondering.

This is true, the dealership in which I ordered from had a handful of Z51 allocations for the first batch of 2015's but only one allocation for a carbon fiber roof... needless to say I jumped on that carbon fiber roof allocation like a fat kid on cake lol.

Interesting - so the dealers that post the constraints, those constraints only apply for that dealer for the allocations that they have been given at that time. I assume the percentage available that is posted with the constraints applies to all dealers not just one.
