Default General DIC question

Fun figuring out all the cool settings. I think I got em figured out now. The two displays I will likely use most are split up. One is under Info. The other is under Performance. Which means I can't just use the up-down arrows to scroll betweeen them, but must use the left arrow to switch modes, then up-down to scroll within a mode. Is there any way to move an item from Info to Performance or vice versa? As far as I can tell, there is not, but I have been surprised before by the great range of options and flexibility so I'm not gonna assume anything.

You've got it figured out. It's not that you have to do so much to see what you want to. It's that there is so much more to see and analyze than we've ever had before. I just found something new two days ago after 13,000 miles

With all there is, it's gonna take a thumb push or two to get there sometimes .

Jim,

I know what you are asking and the direct answer is no, there is no way to do what you are asking. The IP segments are hard coded. With that said, if you would be specific about what you are seeing and what you would like to see, there may be a way to display it (depending upon what gauge you are looking at and looking for) in another way.

Thanks, Cruiter. Yes, it's all there. It's all so cool that I'm just spoiled, or want to be spoiled, with max info for min button presses. Next I'll want it to read my mind.

What's needed is Favorite buttons for the DIC display area.

You got it figured out? From what I see, it will be years and then some till every item buried in the system is discovered. Only so much time to play with gadgets and then remembering where an item/function is located. Info and performance items seem to be preferred by me as well. I have not tried the 0 to 60 timer nor operated with traction control and performance handling turned off, yet. Amazing!

OK. When I first enter the car, I want to see tire pressure while the tires are still cold. I believe that is in Info. Then I want to see the digital coolant (mislabeled Engine) and oil temp, along with oil pressure and battery. Those are in Performance. When coolant reaches 90F, I back out of the garage and drive gently til oil reaches 180F. At that point, I no longer need the Performance guages. If I'm on a road trip (as opposed to just doing errands around town) I want to see my trip odometer, MPG, and range (MPG X remaining gallons). Back to Info for that.

I know. I've got a Stingray and I'm complaining about a few extra button presses?! Yes, I'm crazy, but I can't help myself. I just want to figure this thing out! Thanks, Paul!

It's been a while but I kinda remember there's a way to select which digital gauges are displayed on either side of the tach....

Hey Ken. Yes, those are the pocket guages. You can choose oil temp or coolant temp (not necessary because you have a larger coolant guage beneath the fuel guage) and one or two others, but those are analog, not digital. They're also small and not finely calibrated. No way to tell your coolant hit 90. Even the larger guage only starts at 100.

Yeah, I know, life's a bitch.

You can also choose volts and/or tranny temp.

Where in the menus is the large quartering shot of the AW Corvette that I see on all the DIC descriptions? I can't find it.

Performance and Touring, IIRC. If it was LRG, I'd have it displayed more often, so I hope I remember correctly.

This is one of the more useful displays, not because of the AW Corvette, but because of the many digital readouts to the right.

Not with the pocket gauges no. However, if you have the Display Mode set to Tour and select the Perf display, you can see precise coolant and oil temps right down to 0 degrees
