It is an issue if you want to keep your power train warranty.

No it's not...This has been covered extensively in other threads. The tune can be removed leaving no trace..

Yes me too. i don't want to tune it out although the claim is no drop in gas mileage. The power draw is a big concern, i really don't want to be popping it in and out all the time, or putting the trickle charger on every time it sits for more than 2 weeks, that is a dead battery waiting to happen. I think the safe thing to do at this point is nothing for now, this is a new market and I would be surprised if more options did not appear.

While you can remove a tune and flash back to stock so they only see stock parameters it is unlikely you will be able to remove traces that changes have been made. Flash counters have been around for many many years and I'm quite sure there is similar (if not even more sophisticated) means built into the ECM and TCM on the flagship sports car of Chevrolet.
