Lol I didnt have to worry about those pesky mountains getting in my way on the gulf coast..whopping 12 feet above sea level and all...now the three hurricanes that hit my home within five year time frame ....yeah that we had to worry about.
Well, Jacksonville is kinda flat but going through SC, NC, TENN, and KY to get to Cincinnati make bumps.
Hi Larry,
I will have to check oil again but I only have 3100 miles on her now and we put over 600 miles on my car Labor Day weekend. I am not having any problems (yet) with oil consumption and say yet because I learned never to say never. Of course I do not know if driving a lot more miles than I have driven my car will have a lot different result than I am seeing. I haven't added any oil yet because I plan on taking my car in to the dealership (after seeing GM customer service rep. post in another thread regarding them being willing to help us get our oil changes earlier than 20% oil life left because my dealership said no even though my car was bought in January). Of course, if I start driving my car more , I will add more Mobil one until I can get in into the dealership.
Seems the LT1 engine takes longer to get the cylinders to seal as many here report initial oil consumption. The engine is so powerful it is hard to pull a substantial amount of power for any period of time (speed climbs fast). Makes setting the rings difficult.
