Forgiato Introduces New Active Grille System for C7
The team at Forgiato has pulled off a pretty cool custom feature for the C7, even if you aren’t necessarily a fan of the company’s wide-body kits for Corvettes.
The Active Grille System, available for both 2014 and 2015 Stingray models, diverts airflow away from the engine compartment to help reduce the car’s lift and drag.

Kind of a cool concept for a show or parking lot or maybe security but wouldn't closing off that area while the motor is running potentially lead to over heating? That being said...WTH is up with that "model" and her lips? She looks like she got stung by a bunch of bees or something.

I don't think they could have found an uglier model. California...

As stated on the other thread, the look of the grill when open looks damn good on the car, and I'd actually be interested in something like that in a "normal / fixed" design. It looks a lot better than the OEM base and Z06 grills, and what the aftermarket's currently offering. It's a lot less "busy" and isn't fully of fugly mesh pattern.
As for the dupe thread comment... take a look at who's posting this and why...

Nice look to the car when open, but worried that it would not be so practical when closed (cooling issues?). Perhaps the company should address that issue in their ads for the product.

It looks more like a super riced Civic than a Corvette....

I think the factory 'base' and even the Z06 grills are waaaay too busy for the car's appearance, same goes for the aftermarket options available right now. They haven't got style, they've just got 'stuff'. They don't necessary flow well with the lines and design of the rest of the car.
Then again, there's folks on this forum that will gladly buy that god-awful "shark teeth" metal grill or those stupid SS mesh inserts, and can't understand why folks wouldn't want chrome wheels, so I'm probably in the minority when I want something that flows well with the rest of the car.
