Do any of you have a special pair of shoes you wear when driving your Vette? I have a light-weight pair of tie up Polo tennis shoes that work great while going thru-the-gears..

I bought a couple of pair on Ebay before i went to Spring Mountain Driving School. They highly suggest you wear them. I found the shoes helpful when driving a stick but now that i have an automatic, they are drawing dust in the closet.
I used to wear Piloti's (went out of business but supposedly is back up and running), but I wasn't pleased with the stiffness of the sole, which impeded pedal feel and smooth heel and toe action. Puma makes several nice driving shoes, but I found them too narrow and while the sole is thin and flexible for good pedal feel, if you plan to do any walking around the paddock, they get uncomfortable really quickly. I currently wear a pair of Puma indoor soccer shoes every time I jump in the Vette. They have a good balance of support and sufficient pedal feel for good heel and toe work, they're fairly inexpensive, and they aren't quite as narrow as their driving shoe.
Of course, some people swear by good old Converse Chuck Taylors much like your shoes.

Same issue here. Went from 2008 Z06 to A6 2014..........tracked both at PBIR.
If you are at the track I could see the need (especially Nomex shoes when racing), but driving around town, no. Plus I'm not called BigJoe for nothing. I need size 14 or 15 shoes which are not sizes you can normally find easily in specialty shoes.
