I can't remember reading someone actually accomplishing it. The one thing I can tell you is; the HUD isn't as important in the C7 like it was with the C5 and C6. All the HUD information is displayed directly in front of you on the DIC and with more clarity/detail.

It's been done and detailed here. All I can say is after seeing the pictures of the install......looks like one helluva job. Almost impossible for the every day guy. Just sayin'.
I recall the pictures of the retro HUD install in a C7: scary stuff.
For what it is worth, I have a pre-order in for a Navdy for my Corvair, which does not have an OBD port, either i or ii, but can use smartphone for navigation etc. No cutting of the dashboard needed.
I don't think it is worth the trouble to install it because it is a major amount of work. If you really want it you would be better off selling your car and buying one with the HUD.
Using a NAVDY? If I wanted Nav in a non-nav equipped vehicle as well hands free phone AND possessed a smartphone I would give a serious look at Navdy.
Uh, yes I have.
To be clear, my interest in Navdy is that it actually materializes. I have been spoiled by HUDs and by large (for a car) screen navigation systems. All I know about it is on their web page.
