Agreed. As the product reaches perfection there is less to improve upon.

Local corvette dealership in redwood city Ca. still thinks MSRP. Is the hot deal of the day They may want to rethink that It. Might help move some of their vets out of their lot

I visited a small town dealer yesterday and they had a 2014 Z51 coupe and a 2015 Z51 coupe and 2014 Z51 convertible all sitting unsold. The convertible has been there for so long the battery is dead. They told me they only get 2 cars per month. I bet there will be some deep discounts this winter, especially on convertibles. Could we finally see the first $10K discounts on highly optioned convertibles?

I just experienced that I got 5000 more for a trade in of my 2011 GS than other dealers but only got 1000 off on my 2015 Z51.

Just my $0.02.

three dealers having three cars between them is nothing....when every (corvette) dealer has a good selection of cars and even with discounts they don't sell quickly, we have a demand problem.

just because supply and demand are starting to even out doesn't mean the car suddenly sucks, lol. it means the system is working properly.
Its called in the industry inventory 30 60 90 or 120 day it is a common term about long it will take to move all of those cars in stock.

100% correct.....to the above post.

With my recent purchase on 12/30/2014, the 2015 C7 was in the dealers showroom for 88 days. He was quite happy to get rid of it.

Many dealers are still sitting on the 2014 MY inventory and I sincerely feel that many dealers have over estimated 2015 sales. Now that we are only 4 months away from the introduction of the 2016 MY, deep discounting will have to take place to sell these 2015's which we are already selling. 2014's are now being discounted 14% and wil lmost likely have to go deeper.

Best deal for the dealer is a solid retail sold order. But then again, it is GM via their crazy allocation program and constraints that is even causing more problems as evidenced here by forum members who have consistantly complained about delays, constraints and misinformation about orders placed from the dealers.

It's a buyers market and that is ultimately good for forum members. The best deals will come off the dealers inventory sitting on the lots.

Just guessing but perhaps the demand for all new cars drop a bit in the winter. Also I've noticed certain dealers are listing their C7's at a higher MSRP, then offering a discount against that higher amount.

With only minor changes, GM has made the same Stingray for two years now. With new 2014's still on the lot I would expect you'll see those heavily discounted soon.

If I was in the market for a new Stingray I'd be tempted to wait a few more months to see what GM has in store for the 2016 C7. If they bump the horsepower rating up to around 500, they'll probably produce another big wave of buyers.

There are no earth shattering new features in the 2015 that warrant a $5,000 increase in MSRP. So, it is nothing more than a price increase.

Dealers can now discount 2015s $5,000 and make it LOOK LIKE a fantastic deal, when in reality all the buyer is really doing is paying the same price for their 2015 as someone else did for their practically identical 2014 6 - 9 months ago.

It's just a big game GM is playing.
well yea except for the fact that the new 15 is worth at least 5000 dollars more than the same identically equipped 14...Oh and they can't give a way a 14 now for some reason. Your logic fails.. We don't even need to even mention the upgrades...and yes not a lot of them but they are good ones. The game is you can get a brand new 15 for at a minimum the same price and probably less than most people gave for the new 2014 Corvettes...

But I got mine in Sept of 2013 and enjoyed my car a year before anyone with a 15 got theirs... And it was well worth it. So it's all relative.
