I just purchased a silver 2014 convertible a month ago and I am wondering if the rear deck is made to handle a queen sitting on it during a parade. I have seen other convertibles and other generations of corvettes doing this, but can the c7 deck handle it? Thanks
Queen, straight, bi...it doesn't matter. It will support a reasonable amount of weight.
(just make sure the person isn't a porker)
I've use my C2 in parades and the deck has always been fine as long as you cover it with a material that won't scratch the paint for the riders to sit on. Also, make sure they're not wearing heels that can puncture the material.
The only problem I an think of is if it's a manual transmission. Parade corvettes really need to be automatic.
If you have Zainoed (or other wax of choice) your deck, get one of those rubberized mats to go under the blanket or your "queen" may just slide off the back.
