It does not happen often to mine but when it does no matter how you turn the **** it will only go to weather or track. Please let me know what they found as my dealer could not duplicate the problem.
It was a failure. They said there were no updates to fix my problem. I got my Stingray back last night and it continues to malfunction regularly.
Exactly my experience. Turn the **** and release... Turn the **** and release... repeat as necessary. Works every time.
I had it happen, but it was because I failed to wait after the release. Sometimes the dash doesn't change right away. Because of this... I jumped-the-gun once; thinking I hadn't moved the wheel fully, so I turned it again.. and it skipped twice.
Since then, I have operated the wheel and waited. So far, it's been fine; but keeping an informed eye on it.

How do you explain turning the **** and the display moves in the wrong direction ????
It is NOT operator error. 90% of the time it works OK. 10% of the time it moves in the opposite direction or does not move at all.
Yes it seems some of our members think that we do not know how things work in the C7. This is not the case. The C7 has electrical/computer issues.
1.) Radio does not always find other media (I pod, usb stick etc)
2.) Mode selector switch does not switch modes correctly
3.) Sound management once turned off can not be turned back on
4.) Hesitation on hard acceleration (either trans or engine)
Unfortunately, the aforementioned do not happen on a regular basis, sometimes the car is fine.
When we complain to GM customer service we get no help and the dealers tell us the problem can not be duplicated or that is how it works.
It is very clear to me that GM has no intention of addressing our concerns.
Does this mean there is no fix for this? That at least some out of all users have a sometimes/much of time/all the time malfunctioning mode selector switch?
My mode selector switches perfectly. It is important to give the dial a solid twist and release.
One selection change at a time. Hasn't acted up since the first week before I knew about the twist release method. Since I only use Sport and Turing it's no big deal for me since I'm only going one slot anyway.
