Default Junk, garbage, problems, when does it end?

Well , now that you are here , have you heard it all about our beloved corvette . From C1 to C7 the whining and complaining is unbelievable . Every time I get on the C7 forum I read about plain unhappiness with the vehicle , the paint isn't perfect , I think I hear a noise , the trim isn't flush and on and on . Is the C7 perfect , probably not but I think it's a wonderful car and a joy to drive .

From the first time I saw a corvette I knew that was the dream for me . I have now been living it for years . When I sell one , I have to get another one . Every time I have been in between vettes it was a mistake . I have to come back and when I do I love it . I have had a few problems with my C7 but I wouldn't trade it for anything out there . Die hard corvette people live with the little things . Is anything in life perfect , probably not . So the next time you want to go on a rant about that little rattle , think hard , do you love vettes or did you just jump on the C7 bandwagon and is everything I have so perfect . Orange peel or not , I am corvette forever as long as god sheds his good graces on me .

I am fortunate and I am sure most of you here are . So if the C7 is driving you nuts for that little squeak or the a/c condensation making noise on your exhaust get off the forum and have fun somewhere else . I am sure there is a car out there for you that is perfect and never has a problem . You know who you are and I am sure you will give me your $.02 . In the meantime , enjoy your vettes , life is short , so don't sweat the small stuff .....

Paragraphs are your friend.

Agree with your thoughts though.

The forum seems to sway in the way of problems, but on the other hand that is one purpose of the forum. Share some issues if you have them, solutions for others, etc.
I believe most Corvette owners are happy with their purchase and are enjoying miles of trouble free driving.

Agree.

A little perspective goes along way to living and enjoying a happy life.

Looking for and finding faults and flaws in everything allows one to create their own personal hell and languish in it. It does however get a bit tiresome when those people choose to share it with rest of the membership.

Certainly is fine to ask about noises and sounds being normal or something that appears to be not functioning properly. Feedback is our friend. Whining and complaining is not.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Well said OP.
I'll add to it, if you will, that it's the people building the car, not the car itself.
The pride in yourself and what you build in America is gone for now. The same people who complain are the ones that do nothing to make a difference!

Right , we can always find more problems but how about finding solutions . I have the same situation at work , there are guys who complain all the time and never look for a way to solve things .....

Indeed

A lot of people are the same way about everything, office drama comes to mind, some people are happy about everything - others are unhappy that other people are happy.

Life is too short for mean people/conflicts, good thing is you can just turn this forum (or the whole internet) off and walk away. I find it much more enjoyable to drive my crummy first year non-z-51 C7 A6 with some minor issues around then argue or complain about it on a forum. If I dont like the car I wont buy another, simple as that.

GM pays people to engineer and test the cars, if they dont do the job why should I do it for free

Ladies and gentlemen , we have a winner or shall I say whiner .

To answer your question , blown engines do not go in the whining catagory ,

Do you even own a C7 , I see you just joined the forum .....

the bottom line is they are chevy's, they are built on a production line not by hand or a $200,000 dollar car ! most bang for the buck out there enjoy them or give them to me .

Let me see if I understand you: If I have a problem or concern about a possible malfunction or defect I'm supposed to get off the forum and have fun somewhere else. Am I understanding you correctly?

Hey, mpuzach, just wondering if your Chevy dealer is a forum supporter ?

I appreciate your reasoned post here, as BOTH a new C7 owner, past series C owner, and a Chevy dealer sales rep!
