Yup, I have the same problem with my '15 A8, Z51. I contribute it to being very easy on the brakes; I don't hot rod the car on the streets and when on a back road I drive it more as a momentum car rather than point and shoot. The brake material on the C7's is very grippe, as you may have noticed and will transfer pad material to the rotor witch will build-up in spots causing a pulsing issue when braking to a stop.

HOW TO FIX; find a clear section of Hwy with a 50+ speed limit. Run the car up to 50+ and climb on the brake peddle HARD BUT do not come to a complete stop! Back off the peddle around 25 to 30 MPH and repeat once or twice again......peddle should be fine afterwards.

I returned to the dealership and the service tech couldn't believe how bad the pulsating was. He contacted their tech support and was told just to remove the rotors and turn them.

Is anyone else having issues like these?? THANKS!!
one of our club members just got a 15 c7 and had to replace all 4 rotors.

Thanks. The forum link you provided had this reference, which explains a lot!

My loud slow stop squeal occurred after about 1000 miles and I had been easy on the car until then. Then I bedded the pads/rotors and it went away. Had to repeat after a month. It was getting into cold weather so probably was not as aggressive with braking. That article indicates you must apply the brakes hard periodically or the spotty pad residue on the rotors could come back! The author claims it is often blamed for warped rotors! Interesting read! Reinforces what several thread posters have stated.

My C7 started to slowly pulsate around 50-5200 when braking in gear only (M7). I thought it was something that just needed to be broken in as it was a new car..

At 6100 it was so bad that i knew something was wrong (i should NOT have waited that long). It was happening when i used the brakes in and out of gear, so i took it in for its 2nd oil change and asked them to look at the brakes. They asked does just the car shake or does the car and the steering wheel skake and i said both as they did.

About 3 hours later i got new oil, and then they told me that they refinished the rotors as they were a little warped. Drove the car off and used the brakes and it felt like a new car when braking.

I have a good dealership that was able to fix the problem for free... but i have heard some people say that some dealerships try to charge them 199 for some kind of fee or whatever.
