Got it back today and all seems well. All in all, pretty quick turn around for such a major repair. Helped that GM overnighted the new tranny and the dealership got on it right away.

What a crock.
There are no more "scary stories" with the C7 than there have been with any other generation of Corvette or other cars in general. Some of you "the sky is falling" people have ran out of ammunition because common, large scale major problems are pretty much non-existent. Therefore it's predictable a single failure will be dramatized.

Mr. Snorman,
While I appreciate your positive outlook, I can, indeed, confirm that the sky is, if not falling, at least drooping a good bit.
Good point I guess. I really don't know how much disassembly it takes to get the tranny out but you have reminded me that I never got a copy of the paperwork showing what all had been done. They said they were having problems getting it all straightened out and I didn't need to wait for it if I didn't want to. Will go back and get a copy just for my own edification.
