any one with a car cover have a brand new car and using a cover the directions say should not use on freshly painted car now would that apply to factory the build date is 9-14 -15 directions say at least 3 months before covering
Wow, that's painful to read. Punctuation is your friend.
And to answer your question it's perfectly fine to put a cover on your C7 or any other new car. They've been painted for a while and the paint is not "fresh."
Own a 2014 Porsche Cayman which sits in a garage and I kept it covered with a lightweight car cover to eliminate dust after a fresh wash.
Own a rare 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition Convertible which sits in a garage and I kept it covered with a lightweight car cover to eliminate dust after a fresh wash.
Own a 2013 Hyunda Sonata Limited 2.0T which sits in a garage and I kept it covered with a lightweight car cover to eliminate dust after a fresh wash.
You can buy a lightweight 4 to 7 layer car cover for indoor on eBay for under $50.00 that will do the job for you.
Many want to buy car covers to protect from dents, but a car cover when knocked hard by another door or something falling on the car will not protect it 100% from dents or dings.
I see no reason spend $200 - $300 for a car cover when parked inside a garage.

Same here. The only time I cover my car is to keep the dust off them when the cars are completely clean and in the garage. I have two old C6 covers that I use on my C7 and my Cayman. They may not fit perfectly, but they do keep them clean.

As long as it's inside, you'll be fine. I'm putting on my cover tomorrow and taking it off in April.
Yes but the question is does anyone know if the car cover can cause damage to the paint being the car s build date was 9/14/14
The direction s say not to put on freshly painted car. Now does that mean a repaint only or would it apply to a factory paint being the car is only 1 month old I called the dealer and Chevy as well really can not get a straight answer.

I already answered that question. It's not a freshly painted car for that worry. The paint is fully cured at this point.
