All of us have not spent "that money" but will get much of it back when we sell the car or trade the car in on another one. We are simply using a portion of money to enhance our already good lives. Besides, when I talk to folks about the high priced S.U.V.'s, expensive trucks, and other vehicles that they seem content to spend money on I'm always wishing that they don't ever realize that I'm just humoring them when I say, "Oh that's nice," because it's definitely not nice, and I really think that they have wasted their money on a vehicle that is outdated before they even sign the papers for it. Just the other day as I approached My C7 from the passenger side I looked at the layout of the swept I.P. and it confirmed that even the C6 is outdated by comparison.
You work in order to live. Part of living is enjoying life as you go through it, you do not want to get old and say "I should have". Money does not spend after life is over.
LOL, you sound a lot like me. Don't fret, it will all be just fine. A couple of miles and your attention will be focused elsewhere! Enjoy your New car!
So I will be picking up my new C7 corvette tomorrow (first vette) and now I don't know if I am anxious to go for a ride or having anxiety, like what the hell did I do! Everything from imagining how it will be to drive it home to the 100 things I could have done with the money have been going through my head. lol. Am I the only one who has felt this way when finally making the purchase?
Just three things to remember:
1. Shrouds don't have pockets
2. Carpe Diem
3. See # 1
I picked up my first Corvette on Tuesday. I know exactly what you mean. I was a nervous wreck on my ride home. Not so much on the purchase or spending the money but just finally driving the object of my lust for such a long time. Once home I was fine and now look forward to every minute I can spend behind the wheel. You will be fine.
Look into the future many years from now... you are on your death bed thinking, boy I wish I got the kitchen remodeled with the nice granite tops in stead of buying that 2015 C7... I think not.
I lost sleep for weeks deciding. I thought writing the check would ease the pain.... Nope, I got shingles from the stress! A week before museum delivery the shingles subsided and life is good!

Wow, Awesome and amazing help describe the ride home in the new Blade Silver corvette. Now the research on cleaning and everything else that goes along with it, in between driving her of course.
I picked mine up in mid May and 5800 miles later couldn't be happier. I have had buyers remorse over a lot of purchases, this is NOT one of them. This too is my first vette, I've wanted one for a long time but the C7 really pushed my button. When I get in it I feel....GOOD.
I went through the same thing, I've driven my vehicle for over 200K, put two kids through college, bought a home we're both happy with, and we take one nice trip per year. I wanted a Corvette a long time ago, but then we started having kids and it just wasn't in the cards. Now it is and I feel like I deserve it. Plus, I'm completely uninterested in most other vehicles I could afford, and the Corvette is about the same price as the new Raptor I wanted.
Its a lot of money, but even if you drive it daily, you could always trade/sell it and get a large portion of your money back.
Buyers remorse...perfectly normal. It will get slightly worse before it gets better but the first drive and a couple nights sleep will fix it. Soon you'll be saying what took me so long...
