Thanks for posting the picture Da Hawk. I also got the red fuse cable with no instructions, so I left it out of the set up. System works great, but I would like to install it if it provides additional protection. Could you please elaborate on your install. Did you cut the original red cable and add the fuse cable inline? Thanks in advance.
Since the the red fuse cable has bare wires on both ends:
1) Cut off the ring connector on the Curb Alert red wire and use a squeeze connector to attach the fuse set up to one end then a new ring connector to the other. Thus only one inline squeeze connector.
2) Cut the Curb Alert red wire about 4-6 inches from the end and use two squeeze connectors to splice the fuse set up in between. Thus saving the existing ring connector but now using two squeeze connectors.

exactly..I am kinda amazed that so many that are attempting a DIY on this, need instruction on where to put the fuse. If you don't understand this factoid , you have no business trying to do this by yourself....get some help. I m sure you know a friend that will know...
I had my first unit in a 13 GS the one with the low splitter. Took it off and reused it in the C7. Simple install and did not even need to recalibrate it.
I usually back in to curbs but this unit has saved me a couple of times when I was in a hurry and the beep was a saver!!!
Cheap protection vrs the damage that could result.

With all due respect Glen, no reason to get condescending...take a chill pill and try and be friendly. There were no instructions or mention of it in the included literature. Crabby J, I do appreciate the feedback.
not condescending at all, electrical stuff is scary and can be very dangerous if you screw it up, I reiterate.... get some help if you don't understand an inline fuse....
and the instructions do show the fuse on the red wire on page 16 of the approved curb alert doc:
