Default C7 Noise Issues

I have a 2015 C7 that I got in October. Two issues I have with the car right now is the roof makes noise every time I go over a bump and I hear air noise coming from the drivers side window while driving.

I told the chevy service center about this and they were like the roof we cant do anything about it, chevy doesn't have a fix for it and then for the window, they were like every c7 has this and is not an issue.

Do you all have the same issues? If so was your service center able to fix it? Also, are there any tips or tricks I can do to fix this?

Thanks,

I do not have the same issues...but have received the same responses from GM as you for other issues I've had.

re the noise, check the vertical rubber door seal and you might find that it bends out of shape when you close the door; I've been manually adjusting it (straightening it out before I close the door and its helped a great deal.

I'm working on a permanent fix and will let you know if it works...

These are correctable issues. You are not getting good service. PM Chevy Cust Svc and have them contact the dealer on your behalf.

I had both of these issues. I fixed the noise going over bumps by tightening the rear latch on the roof. Here's a thread that explains it pretty clearly.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-crossed.html

I also brought it for a warranty repair for the faulty GPS and they fixed the seal that was causing the wind noise over my right side. It's still there but much, much better now.

Nice, if this works, I will let the technicians know so they dont upset other owners by saying there is no fix.

Great. I didn't do anything besides turning the hook and it fixed mine. I did end up turning it two full revolutions though because I still noticed occasional popping after one turn. The trick is to really get it all the way loose with the Allen wrench before you try to turn it. You kind of have to loosen it farther than you'd think would be necessary.

So took at look at mine, and it was also bend inside, I had pulled it out and it still in a weird shape, let me know how the heat gun trick works. I will drive my car later when it gets warm today and will let you know if the issue is fixed.

Well you first have to look at the rear hook and latch ( at the rear of the roof ) the space between the two should be about 1/8 " and mine was about 3/8" and I took it back to the dealer and they turned the hook a couple of turns so as to tighten up the space !!! The rear hook is the same for C 6 cars so it should be easy !!! Wayne
