My son-in-law uses a 2010 Sierra 2500HD for his contracting business with 60,000 miles and the warranty will expire in two months. He took it to the dealer because of a ticking that sounded like a lifter. They replaced the entire valve train under warranty...did that lessen his confidence in the GM engine? Absolutely not. It bolstered his opinion that GM builds as good a vehicle as you can find and they will stand behind it at their expense.

As for my Stingray, I have had it exactly one year and have 12,000 miles of trouble-free driving.

im looking at base model c7 7speed tranny , i have read more than a couple of people having the lt1 blow up from oil starvation to the bearings ,,, about half afraid to purchase one any thoughts or input
i just dont want to have a new car that has to have engine replaced for failure
