I have Lloyds light grey cargo and floor mats with Stingray logo in a black interior. Makes the interior look less like a coal mine. No problem with glare.
Not all vendors carry grey so you need to do a little searching
Just got my WeatherTech cargo mat but note that it covers the tie downs for my shade. It appears that WeatherTech has 2 squares of rubber that could be cut to let thru the buckles, but that destroys the integrity of the mat - anyone had this problem? Solutions?
It all depends on how you use the car. If you truly use the car as a DD and use the rear for storage, groceries and other stuff, I'd stay dark. I have the black gm rug and its marked/scuffed after a year. If your car is a weekend driver, im sure the gray lloyds would work well.

I used to have a white **** cargo mat - but after breaking a bottle of red wine taking a turn at 10G I thought I would replace it (the white **** not the wine) and came upon the WeatherTech Cargo Mat. I've had WeatherTech in my last 3 cars and now I can take a turn upside down and not worry about the mat or the wine. I don't ever trailer my cars - I drive them!!

I've had many Weathertech cargo mats and they always seem to have squares that need cutting if you want to use tie downs or your shade. Not sure how else they could do it. For me its always been protection from beach sand and to make for a quick 'shake out'

Do they make provisions to still use the tiedowns for the shade?

I agree that any rubber mat whether it be black, grey or tan looks like crap... However, if you live near the beach and take chairs and other items there, it is the best option to keeping your Vette clean. Same goes for floor mats that keep sand from your carpeting, rubber or Weathertech...

Good to know! Say, do you have the Expel on the roof?
I have the Stingray logo mat and it looks great. If it becomes scruffy looking I will order another one. It is gray and matches cyber gray perfectly. If I am planning on carrying a lot of whatever that is potentially carpet damaging I will just use an old blanket to transport whatever and take it out when done. I do use the weather tec floor mats for driving as I have a long gravel driveway and I pick up little bits of limestone in the shoe treads. I take them out if we are going to a show or event and put the attractive stingray mats.
