I've got a red '14 Z51 and even though it came with the spoiler it's not something that was a "must have" for me. I do like the larger wheels/tires that come with a 'Z', but the spoiler is not a deal-breaker. No need to add one, in my opinion.

Glen is right on...and, I might add....every time you pass under a shade tree you will be distracted by the 'movement' of the reflection back there.....I hate it.
Looks fine to me. I would not have noticed if you didn't point it out.. The question that really needs to be answered is, "Does it look incomplete to you"? If you limit, that is all that matters.
I have the Z51 chromies as I am a huge fan of the split spoke design and gotta admit that is the main reason I went with the Z51 package. Don't need the dry sump and other goodies in this package but the split spoke wheels made it a must have.
Am too damn old (73+) to need a lot of "stuff" but happened to add about 24K in options to the base price of mine thinking this may well be my last Vette so it was "go for it"....period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do I hear an AMEN out there?
Personally I think the spoiler completely changes the rear and side views to the better but especially the face on rear. It also looks good from the rear view mirror stand point from inside the car.
Yes,... The C7 looks "incomplete" or "missing something" without the rear spoiler... It's the strange shape of the rear deck lid on top at the rear edge that makes it look "incomplete"... Without the rear spoiler the car looks more "base" looking.
The rear spoiler kinda fixes the strange look of the deck lid / rear bumper area on top.
I vastly prefer the car with no rear spoiler. Any spoiler hides the lines that terminate on the rear deck. Like anything else you are going to get opinions from every angle, in the end only yours matters.
I second the wing spoiler if you think you have to have a spoiler at all. The wing looks good and has the advantage that it looks different than the blade spoiler on a "real" Z51. Some people frown on making a base car look too much like a Z51, so consider that possibility for a second or two. Then do what you want. Three choices and all of them look good, a win - win situation.
