Had the fix PI1436 done according to my documentation. Hopefully that fixes the problem for good.
They also did Mobil 1 for the oil change without hesitation. Glad it was a smooth experience.
The problem is a software problem and what causes the problem is if you open the hatch using the outside release button before you open a door. If you open the hatch with the inside button or FOB, you won't have this problem. Chevy need less engineers and more computer experts!

I used to think that. Mine now does it occasionally no matter which button I push.

Same here, done yesterday. No problems on the software update (yet) and they didn't balk when I told them to use Mobil 1. In fact, they suggested doing an oil change every six months to fit four oil changes into the two-year free service opportunity. They were more than accommodating and made sure to show me how to fill out the service rating form they said GM would be sending--i.e., check only the highest rating for each question. I think they must get a bonus at the end of the year based on these ratings. The salesman (at another dealership) did the same thing after the sale was completed.

The outside hatch button causes the center-screen glitches? I open the hatch all the time in that manner yet never had the center-screen software issues until last week, and that didn't happen right after opening the hatch.

It used to only happen with me when I used the outside hatch button. Now it does it no matter how I open the hatch.

You might want to get the software update previously mentioned, which is supposed to address the blank-screen issues, et al. I hadn't heard anything about the outside hatch button being related.

What is the PI 1436?
My steering wheel fav/vol don't work and the right side select dir controls don't either. Now (I had the drive mode linked) the drive mode doesn't change the drive screen.
I did have the battery disconnected a few times.
Checked connectors inside the steering wheel and they are fine.
