Limerock Green - to buy or not to buy
2014 Limerock green vert 2lt
Black top, black interior
7k miles
Auto, npp exhaust, chrome wheels, stingray sill plates, cover.
$58,000 (down from $59,995)
2 yrs left on warranty (would buy GM warranty)
Car was owned by a 50 year old farmer who always wanted a vette but needed to trade it in for a diesel pickup.
Concerns:
1) price (seems fair)
2) A6 vs A8 trans
3) color - love the green but will this effect value in future.

1. price - about right
2. A6 tranny is fine. Not a problem.
3. Color wont diminish value. I personally like that color. Since its a one year only color, might be a long term benefit. In short term, not a factor for resale.
bottomline: If you like it, go for it.

I have the same car except my wheels are black. This car gets comments everywhere I go. In the sunlight it pops like nothing else and its the only color I wanted. I found mine new 3 months ago and pd $64k so the price you mention sounds pretty good.
I love the A6 trans although I enjoy the manual trans in my Z06 too.

Also food for thought on price; the 2014 stingray had the lowest reported depreciation of all new releases last year, holding approx 84% of its value on a commonly equipped car. Sure, there are deals to be had, but I would say that price is fair.

I wish they had LRG in 2015, probably would have gone with it instead of the SG. No hit on color.
A6 vs. A8, not a huge deal IMO. A8 would be nice and better for resale as the car ages. 2014 will be the only year with the A6.

Price is subjective and like opinions and body parts we all have them so if you want a LRG Stingray buy it. It's like they are going to make anymore in that color.

To all you LimeRock Greeners that have replied, you have some nice looking cars. Also, to all others colors, ditto. I am hoping to make a decision this week. I am about 3 hours away from the cars location so cant do anything til weekend. Also, the wife is still on the fence.

Reason why they stop painting LRG. Price is high for green!

There were 37,288 Corvettes made in 2014. Of that number, 4% were Lime Rock Green. This was the least optioned color of all the colors offered. If you like the green, go for it. It will be in the class of the rarest color for 2014 if that helps resale or value. (probably not)
