I purchased used I knew because car was built in 6/14 and I bought it in 12/14 in the same state as the original owner and no snow between those months. Carfax can be a good friend.

maybe for you who does not know how to handle a RWD 450+ Hp sports car but for those of us who do, it's no big deal. HP does not make a lick of difference, it's called throttle control and people have been driving RWD cars in the winter since the car was invented so just because you may lack the skill in winter driving that doesn't mean that the rest of us do.

Drove mine from the factory in a snow storm. Quite an adventure!

Why would anybody purchase a car, and then save it for some future owner? It's only a vehicle. The next batch of Ford 150's will be aluminum. Should those truck owners save them too?

I'm in disbelief that it would even enter your mind to flip someone off for using their car the way they want to use it. It's not your car, WTF do you care how someone else uses their C7? It's attitudes like yours that give all Corvette owners a bad image.

Some of us actually drive our C7s instead of using them as garage art.

Totally agree! It's not anyone's business how or when you drive your own car.

For those that will never know. The C7 warms up rather quickly, and stays warm. On the days that the temperature is above freezing I take my towels to the quarter car wash and clean it up. Your C7 looks twice as good in the winter.

Mine is a daily driver (except for snow). Cold, rain, sunshine...I put all season tires on it and I drive it!! I made an oath to myself not to own a museum car.

There is no right or wrong in this argument, each owner has their own philosophy and reasoning. The cool part is we all own Corvettes!

While I have my own standards for personal property use, it's not my place to judge others.

I'm entitled to my personal opinions (as is everyone else), I however, try to keep any negatives to myself.

Having owned Corvettes in the past (and present) I have used some as "Sunny Day" cars and others as daily (rain, shine, snow and sleet) drivers.

Sometimes personal circumstances dictate owning only one car for transportation. Given that circumstance, and a choice of only one car, I'd opt for something I'd enjoy owning and driving (a Corvette) rather than the most practical.

Good for the woman driving her Ct in the snow. She's enjoying her car year round, as it was meant to be, unlike many of garage queen owners, who's cars don't come out unless it's 75 and sunny. Don't spend all your time in the garage waxing, take the car out and enjoy it.

I bet you're a real special driver. I was definitely not referring to you, just the others...

P.S. Thanks for the history lesson. You're smart too

Waa waa waa

Drove my ProCharged C7 Z51 this winter with snow / ice and salt on the roads. My car didn't melt, explode or rot away.

Some people think Corvettes melt in rain, some think that it's just a car. I'm in the group of people that think it's just a car because it is! I didn't pay some $70k+ for the car to sit in the garage for half the year because it's below 40 out or the roads are wet.

Aluminum and salt? It's not new to cars. Man, I feel sorry for all those new Ford F150 owners, after a year their truck beds will look like swiss cheese.

No I don't want a cookie, just saying if someone wants to be stupid and drive their Corvette in the rain or snow, who cares? It's their car!

4 months and over 9k miles now, loving every mile of it. Rain, sleet or snow. 100 degrees out our -4 doesn't matter to me.

Driving out of my neighborhood on roads that are solid ice.

This past summer I went to our Corvette Club meeting in a rain storm, I was the only one who came in a Corvette(???). The weather mode adds considerably to stability, no problem with the stock tires.

As we often see on this Forum, you don't have to pass an I.Q. test to buy and drive a Corvette.
