I got one Saturday for the 1st time. Just keep in mind that the elevation was 4200 ft, so up here our cars run about a second slower than at sea level.
I've seen the 0-60 times in the DIC, but how do you get the 1/4 mile times?
You must have PDR. It's one of the video overlays in the PDR options. Track is the one that gives you lap times, I think it's called acceleration the one that shows the 1/4 mile time.

Ok, I do have PDR, but never had the track overlay on....that explains it.

The car is even fast at altitude. Thanks for posting and sharing this. Any problems with overheating in the transmission during your laps? I haven't heard any problems with the A8 getting hot during spirited runs.
Great. Just great. I was all set and coming to terms with getting the M7. Now you guys have to go and post these sweet A8 vids.
The car I wanted was a 1LT Z51 M7, but this combination was not available within 1000 miles. I did plenty of reading and watched every video I could find of the 8 speed, and I figured it would suit me well. Now that I've had it for a few months, I think I made the right choice. It can get a little annoying when I want to pass traffic and it has to downshift half of the gears, but once you put it in manual, or take it to the track, it's ridiculously fast and I definitely enjoy fast. Check out the thread I created with a bunch of track videos.
In other words, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

No issues with overheating, but the two times I have gone to the track the temperatures have been in the 50s and 60s.
I've since replaced the SD card (it was too slow) but here's one for the M7 Z51 for comparison. Launch control I think sucks compared to manually feathering the throttle. Launch control is just a spin fest and hurts 1st gear.

Hennessey tests a brand new, stock, 2015 C7 Corvette Stingray equipped with 8-speed automatic transmission. We are very impressed with the quick shifts from this new transmission from the Corvette team.
Watch the clock in the upper right hand corner about 40% in.
