Default Nitto Tires

Does anyone have experience with Nitto tires? I am looking for a 2nd set for my Z51. I am aware they are non run flats, but I remember the folks on the C6 forum having good things to say. Has anyone installed them on a C7?
Thanks

I am on my 2nd set of Nitto INVO's for the C7....really like them, they wear wear and are QUIET. I would not know anything about their performance ability, I'm not that type of driver.

I bought a set of INVOs just before trading my '09 Z06 for a C7. Michelin SSs were all back ordered and I decided to try these as I track my car 5-6 times a summer.

The tire was quiet but they were very squirrely at the track. I'm assuming that was because they were new and I hadn't broken them in yet. I just didn't get the bite of the SSs in the turns that I had been accustomed to. I believe they still had some greasiness to them. I lost time off my regular laps and it was quite noticeable.

However, from what I read and had been told, they're a great tire. I probably would have switched them out for the SSs had I kept the Z.

Discount Tire has a few different Nitto Invos. Which ones did you guys have on your cars? Is it that big a deal to run with non run flats? I know the risks, is just keeping a patch kit in the car enough to drive without worry?

Noticibly less road chatter than Michlens, very grippy in wet. This has not been my goto tire in vettes past, I inherited these thru the purchase of my wheels, seam to wear fine, very low profile , love the look I think the ride is a tad bit stffer on these but not annoyingly often.

Great tires on the track and on the street. I have run the 555 on a street legal nascar and the wear looks and cornering are super for an inexpensive tire. I may put a set of Nittos on my Z06 so I don't kill the Cup2's and use them on the track only.

Go for it, a can of tire repair will a good idea.

I have ran all 3 the invo, NT555, and NT05 at some point on my cars. The invos are good if you dont do any real spirited driving. The NT555 and NT05 are good for spirited driving. I am waiting on the NT05 in 305/30/20 to get off back order so I can put then on my C7. I think that the NT555 is a overall better tire than the NT05 they just dont make them in the sizes that I want otherwise that is what I would be getting.

I did notice that the rear tires seemed to wear much faster than the fronts but then I seem to have that issue with any brand tire ?!?!

Ever look at continental DW ? I absolutely loved them. helped my stock 2013 mustang win a local novice autocross event against japs. I think they are rated 3rd in summer tires and a good price.

The Conti DW are a great tire. If you need a true all season the DWS are also great tires. I am trying to decide between the DWS and the Michelin AS3 as I want to be able to drive my car year round. The Conti DWS is the highest rated UHP AS tire on TireRack, even higher than the Michelin AS3 which are more expensive.

For the money Nitto's are the best you can buy. I had 555's on my C5 and ran INVO's on my C6. For traction and wear other's will harp about other brands but in my opinion the only better tires for a Corvette are the Michelins and they cost a lot more.
