A car is a car is a car. Enjoy it year round, forget about saving it for the next guy. $1500 bucks in snow tires beats driving around a boring car for 6 months.
Interesting video. I agree with most of what he said. I have Alpin PA4's on my C7 Z51, live outside Chicago, and drive the vette year round.
Only issue I have with the video is that he focused almost entirely on acceleration, with a brief nod to cornering. In the winter, the greatest potential for disaster is braking. Don't let good acceleration and cornering fool you into forgetting to allow a much longer distance to brake. If the roads are bad, I at least double my usual braking distance, and increase it past that if needed.
Having said that, I wholeheartedly endorse driving the vette in the winter with the proper tires. The look on the other driver's faces is priceless!!!
I know that driving a Corvette in the snow is poisonous here but I have to agree that the cars were built to drive and with the right wheel and tire they are capable of year round driving in the snow belt. I drove an 84 with 15 inch Camaro Rally Wheels and 215-60 studded tires to work daily for years in Denver, CO and often drove around SUVs with bad tires. I was the guy directing the city plows more than once so I got there early and stayed late. Good weight distribution and posi-traction are in the Corvette's favor. Getting high centered is a minus!

Nothing wrong with driving the car in the winter if that's what you desire, but I'll keep mine tucked away during the winter months. I have a FWD DD for bad weather use.
Thanks for posting the video. It was fun to watch. I won't be buying snow tires for my C7. I get way too much snow in my area and there are too many bad drivers on the road to worry about crashing into me. I'll wait for Spring to arrive in about a month.

with Dan. I would need snow tracks to drive in this New England weather this year. Maybe 3 months Dan!
Before storm Neptune hit on Feb. 15th<br/>
Add another 18 inches with 55 MPH winds during the day. Our Corvettes won't see daylight until Spring!
The biggest problem that I have is trying to keep it clean. If you've had bad weather And
Then the roads are clear,if Ya take it out then it will be salted and sanded up.Could end up
Washing it possibly 2 times A day in the cold.
