Isn't there a switch on the clutch, where the clutch has to be pressed before starting? On my auto, in the car the brake has to be pressed, but doesn't matter for the remote, because there is also a switch on the trans to make sure the car can't start in R, D, or M.
Without some extra switch in place, somebody is going to remote start in gear and hit something in the car.

agree with the rest. prob not on factory remote. There are work arounds to get a remote start in manuals, but very dangerous cause if you leave it in gear, since the start bypasses clutch press, it will start in gear and jump when started then die cause in gear...

Have never seen a remote start option on a manual tranny car from GM. Doubt the C7 will have it either.
