How many C7 owners plan to actually KEEP their cars??

Things happen over the years. Children, family obligations. I still have my C4 that I factory ordered in 93. I could have ordered a 94 but I wanted the 40th anniversary logos in the head rest.
Fast forward to 2003 Factory order my M.Y. Convertible with the 50th anniversary logos on the hood .
C6 didn't do to much for me, and finances prevented my from ordering a 60th anniversary edition.
C7 came out and I was awe struck. It is a stunning car. Corvette finally got it right. Sold my 15year old 03, the only Convertible I ever owned to get my T.R.3LT Z51 7 speed. Love in every minute in it. Still drive the 93 to work every once in awhile. It has 50,000 miles

I fully plan on keeping my C7 for a very long time. Life is good at throwing us curveballs sometimes, however, even with a strong 5 and 10 year plan, so I am enjoying the hell out of my car everyday

Ours hasn't even arrived yet! Certainly no thought of getting rid of it in the foreseeable future. Based on all the favorable reviews and first impressions I've read, this car should keep me satisfied for many years. At my age (67) I too plan to enjoy the hell out of our new C7 and doubt that I will ever need another sports car!

I will keep it until my son drives it to my funeral. This is a life long dream that I will treat as such. My Brother and Son will help me pick it up from the NCM and my wife will enjoy the buyers tour with me... This is not about a give car, it is about family and making dreams come true. I may get this C7 a big brother (Z) someday, but "Die Rote Spielzug" (the red toy) will stay in the garage forever..

2014 and the first year anniversary, April 28, is just around the corner. Thinking 2016/2017 so depreciation doesn't cut to hard into the replacement. I decided to drive this car much like any other and enjoy it. Perish the thought, thinking about taking the dog along when we go on outings. Why is it that the Corvette has become such a special car?

At 70 years young I plan on keeping this one until my wife gets me a virtual reality F1 car to drive. She said that this should be the last Corvette I get, so it will have to be so.

I will keep mine until the C8 is introduced or something else catches my eye.

I historically keep cars for around 10 years and the last car I owned prior to buying a 2013 C6 was mine for 14. I wanted a C7 in March 2013 but knew it wouldn't be for sale for six months and after that there would likely be a waiting list of at least six more at most dealers. I also didn't want a first-year C7 because I assumed there would be bugs to be purged, but that didn't seem to happen. A 2015 seemed like good timing and I picked up my new coupe 10 days ago. How long I keep it depends on how reliable it is, but I think three years until the BTB warranty expires would be the minimum. OTOH I think it likely I will wait 'til the second year of the C8 model run, especially if this car continues to please like it has for the first 10 days.

I see no reason to sell mine, although my best friend thinks HE is going to buy it in a few years.....

I do not buy a car unless I like it better than what I have, and plan to keep it... I bought a 2004 Z06 in 2003, skipped the C6, and sold it when I ordered the 2014 Stingray. Car before that was a 1987 IROC, which I drove for 17 years and sold when I ordered the Z06.
A few more gray hairs.

Yup. I'm done. Working toward retirement. It wasn't too long ago I wanted to work until the day I died. In almost the blink of an eye, my thought pattern changed.

We'll see how well the car holds up for the next 4 and a half years. If it's still solid, I'll probably keep it and either add heads/cam and/or supercharger.
