Default Help Me!

In the nine months since I pulled the trigger and ordered my C7, I have contracted a powerful disease. CFC7C, otherwise known as "Corvette Forum C7 Compulsion". Does anyone know of a cure?

I still have not recieved my car. TPW is 3-9-2015. That might help. Time will tell.

But in the meantime I can not tear myself away from the computer. The forum, YouTube, Edmund's, Car and Driver, ETC. just reading reviews and watching videos. All day long.

I'm getting calluses on my hemorrhoids!!

In the last nine months I have obsessed so much on the car, primarily here on this forum, that I have changed the exterior color three times. In each color, I changed the seat color three times too. My dealer has tried to block my calls. It feels like I have already owned nine C7's, with all of the color changes. I have never even seen in person a car in any of the color choices that I have made. I live in a small town in the frozen northlands of Michigan. So, not many Corvettes even in the summer.

The Official Color Threads are Car **** for me. I caught my self lusting after a Black one the other day. Yeah, that surprised even me. My fear is once I go Black.... Well you know.

Oh well, I guess that's enough whining from me for now. If you have any cures or therapies for me, just post to this thread.

Thanks,

Boucherman

thats too funny, same here and i bet its the same for alot of the Forum readers.. except,,
horror of horrors! i am stuck at 3000 since the 19th with no forward movement. NO TPW YET! arrgghhh.
i too changed the interior color once,(wanted the gray/black color contrast in the all jet black 2LT interior that i originally ordered) and if they come out with purple next year i will be trading my not yet built LB vert for a Purple z51 coupe w black stinger! Every time i see a new photo on here i think "wow that looks amazing", "i hope mine looks as cool".
Do you think that the "GM chat" people know that mornings always bring the "Vette guys and gals" asking "wheres my car?" Reminds me ofthe old commercial "is it soup yet?" The wait is excruciating.

Sorry but I don't have any good news for you -- when you get your car - IT WON'T GET ANY BETTER
After you get it you will be back on trying to figure out how everything works and then trying to find the mods that you read about and if they are worth while etc. etc.
then: you will get some relief - until the first rock chip or door ding. That will have you pacing back and forth in the garage until you can find a way to fix it!! -- NEVER ENDS !!! Get used to it and drive the wheels off it -- it's a GREAT CAR!!

Only resolution (actually just a distraction) is to be behind the wheel of your new car. Once you leave the safety of that cabin, you walk back into this dangerous world. Good luck my friend. Good luck.

Three color and three interior changes, not surprised the dealer isn’t happy to hear from you.

You say you live in a small town in MI, dealer probably doesn’t have any allocations.

Find a forum dealer who has allocations. Don

Sad to say no cure. But once your dream ride arrives a daily seat of the pants drive will ease your symptoms.

He said his order is in. TPW next month.

I was there last year buddy. The good news is once you get the car you'll be too busy driving to spend all your free time here. I used to read all the posts and fantasize about my car, about driving it to the far Walmart on the other side of town for a milk run. Just because...drive!!

Congrats. What are the final options you chose??

There must be a 12 step process.

I have further bad news for you. Once you get the car and actually enjoy driving it, you'll be stalking it in your garage or driveway just to stare at it and soak in its sheer magnificence.

My wife gets a kick out of me just sitting in it in the garage when I can't take it out because of unsuitable weather.

Only start worrying if you start spending more time reading and writing about your C7, than actually driving it.

One way is to get really busy by trying to figure out what you will tell your neighbors!

Get use to this feeling because I live in MI too. I took delivery of my 2015 in Sept. and put 600 miles on it before I had to put it away for the winter. So, plan on going through this misery every year for about 6 months.

You should change your screen name to Job.

I had the same affliction while waiting for my car. as stated by many it does ease up a bit when you actually get to drive it....but never goes away completely. Enjoy the anticipation while it lasts, it's almost as good as taking delivery!

You've fallen into a "black Hole", enjoy the ride the bottom is nowhere near. I am on my third corvette, first was the 72 LT1 after Bimmers, Porshce and Benz. I thought I spent hours on this forum trying to learn about how to work on them and all the tricks of the trade.

Getting the C7 made that worst, in between meetings I am on here just to read anything new I can learn about my car. So hang on and enjoy the ride, it will get better when you have some personal experience with your ride and bringing it here for discussion...

Oh yeah, when you get yours, DO NOT DRIVE IT if the temp is under 40. Unless you change the stock tires.
