Respectfully disagree, certainly the extreme of driving in sub zero is rediculous, but the tires won't self destruct in you're in the 20’s or 30’s. Plenty have verified that here and they deliver cars at the NCM when it's under 40.....
Don't worry. It will definitely die down a lot once you take delivery of your c7. Mainly because you will be out driving it...but sorry to say you will never be cured of it fully
I was there last year buddy. The good news is once you get the car you'll be too busy driving to spend all your free time here. I used to read all the posts and fantasize about my car, about driving it to the far Walmart on the other side of town for a milk run. Just because...drive!!
Congrats. What are the final options you chose??
My last and final order: These first things never changed: Coupe, 7 spd., Z51, 2LT, Mag Ride, PDR. Silver wheels. Was forced into CF roof to place order. But that's O.K.
First color. MRB, second, BS, final, SG. Seats: Kalahari, then Gray, now Jet Black. So it is Shark Gray with Jet Black interior.
My favorite colors are both of the reds and then Laguna Blue, then white. I am still trying to figure out why I did not pick any of them.

Reason: unclear
Get use to this feeling because I live in MI too. I took delivery of my 2015 in Sept. and put 600 miles on it before I had to put it away for the winter. So, plan on going through this misery every year for about 6 months.
Did this for first 30 MI winters with Corvette. Have now "graduated" to FL winters with my C7.
OP, the CF will help you through those long dark cold winter days and nights. Really.

You will LOVE this car!
I would like to reside in FL during the winter but the better half wants to stay close to home. I think it's because she was born and raised in the UP and living down State to her is like going tropical.

I shared that because, I had an incident with my car. It was sunny and 35 degree, 40 mph: I decided to accel just get ahead of another car merging on the same lane as I did. The rear end broke loose and wiped me to the center divider.
Granted I have my suspicious that CAI and throttle body spacer had enhance the throttle response of the car, but I think it was the tires being affected by the cold temp. Hence note to self, not to drive in cold weather ever if there's not one cloud in the sky...
