i have a C7 convertible. It will hold only one medium size golf bag along with a pair of golf shoes. That was a major criteria when I bought the car.

We learned this way back with the 89 vert which was not good.
I have been trying to convince my s/o of this for years. I think I've finally done so. The extra blankets and pillows are pure b s in mho.

A huge short coming of the C7.
You might be able to fit two lightweight soft-sided carry bags.

In the 1LT, there is easily a cubic foot or two of dead space where the subwoofer would for the upgraded trim levels. The trunk latch is also kind of honking big and protrudes into the available space unnecessarily. Inches of dead space on the sides as well.

It just seems like they did not spend very much time on this part of the design to maximize the space as much as they could. They just whipped out some shapes that fit together and didn't worry about making it conform tightly to the available envelope.

Not making a separate version of the piece for the 1LT is actually kind of insulting (because clearly they did not want the upgraded trim versions to so obviously have less trunk space than the 1LT).

I have contemplated constructing an improved trim piece for the rear interior wall of the trunk. Wonder if some vendor would make a trunk interior upgrade kit someday?
