Default Convertible trunk dimensions?

I'll be picking up my new '15 at the museum next month and driving it back to CA. Can anyone tell me the trunk dimensions (not just the cubic ft capacity, but the actual length, depth, and width) on a convertible (Z06 if it matters) so that I can see if my luggage will fit?

In case the '15 convertibles are like the '08 convertibles (which I have now), with a removable partition between the main trunk area and the convertible top storage area, I mean *with* the partition up, so that I can put the top down on the drive back. After all, what's the fun of a 2,500 mile road trip in a convertible if you have to have the top up all the time?

Thanks in advance

Default Convert Dimentions

As a owner of a Z51 convert, with the partition up you can fit a 21" wheelie, and a backpack. With the partition down two 21 inch wheelies. If you are not taking a passenger, the second wheelie will fit on the passenger side. Enjoy the ride.

I've actually done this in a C7 vert and could still put the top down:

(2) small suitcases the size you put in overhead bins on airplanes and (2) small backpacks you can fit underneath the seats on airplanes.

In addition to that I think there might still be enough room to shoehorn my Fender Strat on top of the other luggage if I use a gig bag.

The C7 trunk seems to be smaller than my C6. I measured the height to be 11" at the fenders and 13" at the center of the trunk.
You also have that triangular space under the divider.

Oh great, not only am I waiting for my car (TPW 3/23), but now I can't wait to golf too. Never thought a bag of clubs would fit in the vert with the top down. It's on....

Carrying a set golf clubs is pretty much the whole point of the trunk on the convertible.

The trunk in my 2008 vert had a lot more room than the 2014. You can visually see the difference.

My favorite view is seeing my clubs when I raise the trunk lid...it means I just had a great ride with the top down and now I'm going to play golf with my buddies. Everything is right with the world...priceless!

I went with the advice from this thread at another forum:

http://www.stingrayforums.com/forum/...e-luggage.html

When I did my museum delivery on 2/5/15 I put the partition down and was able to carry two carryon wheel bags. Depth is the issue--the suitcase needs to be under 11" deep packed. Most suitcases that are sold as international carryons should fit (and the 21" rollers in the Corvette luggage set will fit with the partition down--remember to add length due to the wheels/take a tape measure to the store or if buying online you'll need real world measurements). Remember you're also going to have "stuff" in addition to your luggage (I had the splash guards installed, so I had the stock pieces in the trunk; I understand they no longer cover the cars for museum delivery--mine had the cover but I didn't keep it; the paperwork folder, laminated build sheet and window sticker and sign).

If you're adamant that the top come down during your drive home, then depth and length of the bags becomes the issue.

Default luggage space

Forget the wasted space of roller luggage. Use soft side bags. You can get cheap ones that work great at walmart. We purchased 19 inch and 21 inch bags and can get plenty of clothes in a c-6 or 7.
We have a rule if you cannot get the top down then you are packing too much cr-p
We learned this way back with the 89 vert which was not good.

When the convertible was first on display at the NY Auto Show, I made the rep show me the trunk as a major criteria was if it can hold a set of clubs and golf shoes. If you have a pull cart, there is no room with the clubs in the trunk. It will have to go on the front street.

It seems a little shallower than my 2010 GS vert was. I think because the battery is in the trunk maybe? Width and length appear to be about the same. I hope I can still get the two sets of clubs in.

I don't see how this is going to happen, and that's a damn shame.
A huge short coming of the C7.

Default Thanks for all the answers

Thanks for all the info, especially the one with the actual dimensions. I should be able to confirm that I can fit my large duffel bag (not carry on, but not rollers, either, so it's squishy). It would be a lot more convenient than plowing through airports with several bags.
