There's reciprocity in 44 states, 6 states do not care what you do when you get stopped. In other words I live in N.Y and my N.Y. license is suspended I can go to Nevada and get a Nevada drivers license no problem along with 5 other states of which I don't remember. But you can only drive in those six states. Now if I get a moving ticket in any one of those other 44 states (except if you live in the state where you got the ticket ) there are no points involved but you still have to pay the ticket or your license will be suspended in those 44 states.

WRONG! You can speed your *** off as soon as I cross the GWG bride in N.J. or as soon as I hit I95 into CT. Give me all the speeding tickets you want they DO NOT go on my license, granted I do have to pay them.

I should just let you wallow in your own ignorance but here's the official statement from NJ DMV:

Violations committed in other states Even though you are a New Jersey driver, you can still acquire points and penalties for violations committed in other states. New Jersey is a member of two compacts that enforce this policy.

The Driver License Compact
Consists of 45 states and the District of Columbia. States not included are Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Tennessee and Wisconsin
Members in this compact exchange all violation information. Out-of-state moving violations are worth two points. For example, if you receive a speeding ticket in Florida, you will get two points on your New Jersey driving record for that violation

And yes, I know you're in NY, but NJ and CT are not the same. And while NY doesn't record the violation, NY insurance companies have access to all of your violations, in state or out of state, and will adjust your rates accordingly.

Have fun speeding all over the other 49 states.

I said N.Y. does not reciprocate ( which is where I hold my drivers license ) I cant vouch for the rest. So yes, I can have fun speeding all over the rest of the other 49 states and have already done so without a blemish on my record!

Well I was wrong about the Nevada part as being one of the six but this is the rule regarding out of state moving violations for N.Y. drivers from the D.M.V. website so like I said I have nothing to worry about.

Tickets Received In Another State:

What Happens If I Get a Traffic Ticket in Another State?

Your NYS Driver License will be suspended if you fail to answer a ticket for a moving violation in any state except Alaska, California, Michigan, Montana, Oregon or Wisconsin. Your license will remain suspended until you answer the ticket. Likewise, drivers from any state, except those from the six states listed above, will have their driver licenses suspended in their own state for failure to answer a moving violation in New York State.

The New York State DMV does not record out-of-state convictions of moving traffic violations of New York State non-commercial licensed drivers, except for traffic offenses committed in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec in Canada.

If you are 21 years of age or older when you commit an alcohol or drug related driving violation in any other state or the provinces of Ontario and Quebec in Canada and you are convicted of the violation, your New York State driver license will be revoked for at least 90 days. Out-of-state drivers ticketed in New York State should contact the Motor Vehicle Department of their own state or province about the effect of a conviction in New York State.

If you are under the age of 21 when you commit an alcohol or drug related driving violation that occurs out-of-state and you are convicted of the violation, your New York State driver license will be revoked for at least one year. If you have any prior alcohol or drug related driving conviction, your license will be revoked for at least one year or until the age of 21, whichever is longer.

The New York State DMV records the out-of-state convictions of any New York driver for criminal negligence, homicide, or assault, which arise out of the operation of a motor vehicle and which results in death. As a result of any of these convictions, your NYS Driver License will be revoked.

Kentucky: I once (actually several times) took traffic school instead of points. In one, when the instructor talked of points across state lines I asked how they resolve the differing points for speeds. He told us that in KY they don't accept speeding reports from other states for that reason. I have confirmed it a couple of times while driving in other states.

I don't know about other states.
