You can see the same issue on my rear window in post #11. My installer also said it's very common. He asked that I bring the car back to him the next day so that he could use a heat gun and rub the film in some more. It looks better. You really don't notice it unless you look for it. The hazy line is concentrated along the rows of the smaller Corvette flags than the outside bordering flags. The problem is that there is very little glass surface and little spacing that the film can adhere to between the tiny flags compared to the larger ones.

I see, yeah my installed told me to rub it in once it is cured. But mine is pretty big and noticeable. If this is truly common I will let this slide.

What shop did you get it done at? If you want to pm me with the information that is fine. I'll have my vette within a few weeks and will be getting it tinted.

Nice what color vette do you have?

Yeah I work in the same area....

I am not sure if I recommend those people to do tints, I am waiting to see how my tints look like after they are cured. But they are the only ones around this area that have FormulaOne tints.

That's part of the reason I'm following this thread..to see how it turns out once it's cured/dried..to see if they're a shop to avoid or a shop to use.

Ordered Laguna Blue coupe with black interior, black rims, and carbon flash badging. We also have a Cyber Grey C6.

I will get back to you sometime tomorrow as that will be day 5.

Are you part of any corvette clubs? I want to join one in the area.

Officially no...

But we've talked with some of the guys that are part of BCCC (Baltimore County Corvette Club) at Carlisle and they seemed like a really good group. I suspect we'll be starting to try to make some of their events before too long. We also talked with some folks from a club that is down in the Salisbury area - they also seemed like a nice group.

Also have met some folks from the Bel Air club too at events...I'm sure there are some nice folks in that club but the people I've met so far are...well..I'll put it this way...we don't clique. I know they are one of the larger clubs so obviously they are a fit for some people - we just didn't feel that we fit with them.

I see, I will have to look into the Baltimore county one since this is near me.

I checked out the tint this morning this morning. Everything looked good, I did find one tiny bubble, hopping it goes away and is no not lint...

But overall I am satisfied with the quality of these tints. They work pretty well and 30% perfect.

I really dont like the line where there the tint doesnt cover, but I think that is something unavoidable.
