I got the 2LT because I couldn't live without the HUD after having it on my other Vetts, wish it could have been ordered seperatly.

No regrets whatsoever on my 1LT....the 4k (plus) extra is a lot of money...that money can go to a nice project car. I would like to have had the cooled seats but that's about it. Memory is wasted on me since i am the principle driver and HUD is nice but more novelty than necessity. If I had it to do over again I would get the 2LT just to be different, but the base car is spectacular and is every bit as stunning to look at as a "loaded" car. The base car keeps you comfortably below the 60K threshold...unquestionably the best performance value ever!

The only things I wanted from the 2LT I bought and had installed a la carte.

I bought the cargo net for $10 (C6 fit just fine on C7), the homelink visor for around $170, floor mats around $120, and I'm searching for a cheap cargo shade, figure around $120.

Nothing else like the heated mirrors, seats, HUD, memory seats, a little better radio, a little fancier interior was worth the extra $4,000. The stuff I wanted and needed I had installed for free.

After I get the cargo shades, I'm done with my 2LT mods.

Oh, there's tune and long tubes, but not for another year or so.

No regrets at all with my 1LT. When purchasing my car there were 2 items that were must haves....7 speed manual and NPP exhaust. I find that the 1LT is very nicely equipped as is. I did add a cargo cover and net, mud guards, Z51 wheels, spoiler, sway bars and the Z06 Stage 1 splitter. I am happy and can live easily without HUD, heated/cooled seats etc.

There was a chart on another thread that showed the sales number for various combinations of C7's. I bought the least popular combo with only 300-some made - a Z51 1LT Convertible. Maybe everyone buying a z51 convertible has money to burn on the 2LT or 3LT package, but for me, the tradeoffs were obvious - Give up heated seats and get bigger wheels and brakes; give up the HUD and get the e-diff; give up interior leather and color choices and get the drop top; give up nav and add performance exhaust; give up dimming mirrors and home link and get the tint-coat paint color I wanted...

Well I got the 1LT and am glad I did. I thought I'd miss the HUD which I had on both my previous C5 & C6. But with the large graphic I didn't at all. I just figured the $4200.00 was a bit much plus I wanted the red & black look of the interior. Just my choice, but, I really like what I have and am happy for anyone else because that's why there are choices.

With the C7's large DIC presentation the HUD is not longer the sought after option of previous generations. What is important to me is the infinite adjustable seats w memory, heated seats, cooled seats and heated and dimming mirrors. Radio upgrade and HUD along with leather upgrade are icing on the cake. 2LT for me.

Yes, it must be Red, and black interior.

I may have to order it. How long does that normally take?
seems I can get employee pricing... $57K reduced to $50K
I've had 32 new vettes since 2000. This is my first 1LT and it won't be my last. What exactly am I missing that I need? I'm putting the $ I saved toward my next vette. BTW I feel that black looks the same in all three trim levels. Save the dough and buy a new vette when you want.

I wasn't happy paying $49,000 for the 1LT.I sure wasn't going to give GM any more money.
As far as options I will be getting aftermarket at A fraction of the price.
And yes the C7 1LT is A fantastic automobile.

Bump.

I found the cargo shade for around $70 (shipped) at RPI.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted one as near stock as I could get. Most I saw had the Corvette emblem stitched for around $150 shipped.

The only thing I didn't care for was the flimsy (my opinion) plastic that goes around the D ring, however spending 5 cents for two very small tie wraps will fix that problem.

Such a waste.

I have a 2lt and all my c6's were 1lts. You really can't prove the subwoofer in the rear is doing anything...The heated seats really work sort of poorly to...

I do think the vented seats will be great in summer if it ever comes.

Ilt is a better buy imo.. 2lt marginally ok and 3lt is more like what are they thinking...

Here is my way of thinking.Which is probably wrong,LOL.The 1LT is probably for those that either can't afford A new Corvette or they are tight with their money.
2LT is probably for the ones who can afford A Corvette but aren't going for all the bells and whistles. The 3LT and of course the Z51 are for those that not only afford A Corvette but could
Probably buy multiple Corvettes without thinking twice. And let me repeat that's only my way of thinking.

LOL that is a pretty messed up way to think about it.

So what do you say about all the people who buy a 1LT Z51 optioned out the exact way they want where the price comes out to the same or more as a 2LT?

How about for some the 2LT is a waste of money as the cost vs. what you get is not worth it? I don't want or need the 2LT features for the most part.
Memory seats? Don't car no one is driving the car but me so the seats wont be adjusted hardly if ever.
Heated/Cooled seats? Neat feature but my wifes car has it and I hate heated seats. Cooled seats are nice but not something I really care about.
Radio? I hear people comment about the better radio. Its the same exact radio with 1 extra sub. Honestly the subs suck anyways so I will put my own in. The 1lt just saves me from having to replace 1 existing sub.
HUD - This is cool and I like it. Wish I could 1 off this upgrade.
Homelink visor - I can do this myself in seconds for less than $150.

If I was jumping trims it would be from 1 - 3 LT and yes Chevy made that upgrade so high it prices a vetted to an area I don't want to pay for. Could I afford it? Yes but I would not be happy paying that much for it.

No "1LT" regrets for me. Missed having the Universal Remote for garage door opener and took care of that by purchasing the visor with one installed and installing myself ($173.09). Next I bought a Red Sharpie and made all that White stitching, Red. Again, no regrets...

Boils down; what is important to you. Do I want the interior option, or do I want exterior trim and or performance exhaust? No wrong choice. I am happy with my choice of 2LT interior and not purchasing NPP performance exhaust. Happy motoring!

Love my car! Let's be honest, the C7 is a great car regardless of trim selection. I added chrome wheels and color matched spoiler. Could not be happier. Who cares how much money you spent on your car. Do Z06 folks look down on all C7 owners? Do Z51 owners look down on base owners? Nonsense! The car is for everyone to enjoy. I chose the 1LT for several reasons. Yes, price point was a consideration. I had the opportunity to walk out the door with either a Z06 2LZ M7, a Z51 2LT A8 or a 1LT M7. I looked very hard at how I used the car. No track time, weekend driver. Just made sense for me. I also took delivery with a transparent top. I would suggest that 50% of all 2015 car owners got stuck with that one. I thought I would not like it, but its really not that bad. I owned 2 Camaros. 2011 RS 2LT and a 2014 RS 2LT. Both paddle shift and both had HUD's. I NEVER used the paddle shift function. Just a gimmick in my opinion. I loved the HUD and thought I would miss it. With the center DIC, I really don't miss it that much. The Camaros were stiff and ride quality was HARSH. The C7 rides like a dream! Very comfortable..........and did I mention FAST! Holy crap! I DO NOT REGRET anything about this car.
