My 2014 has a bit of a hood misalignment issue. The front left edge of the hood when closed sits I bit higher than the nose piece. Maybe 1/8 inch or so. Is there a way to adjust the hinge where it mounts to the vehicle?
Can you loosen the bolts on the vehicle side, slide it down a tad bit and re snug without taking it 35 miles to the dealer to drop it off?

Interesting observation. Today while on a factory tour I saw a plant worker doing this very thing near the end of the line just prior to engine start. No idea how she was doing it but she was using what looked like a 1/4 drive ratchet.
I think this is entirely possible. What you want to do should be pretty easy. Just loosen just enough. Keep in mind that it may drop to the lowest position so you have to be careful. In my convertible C7, I took the trim piece between the seats out and shimmed it with some washers and reinstalled it to make the fit perfect. Go for it. These cars seem to have a bit of adjustability regarding assembly, unlike most modern cars.
Its A PITA!!! We tried for over an hour to get it to line up perfect and we couldn't. There are 4 bolts at the front that need to be loosened but there are no marks on them. Poor design if you ask me. Every time you move it one direction it screws up another area. Its like you have to close it and get it aligned, and then get inside the engine compartment and tighten the bolts. Im swinging by the body shop tomorrow to get it resolved.
