Some folks think you have to wait for your booklet and Spring Mountain info letter from GM prior to signing up for class. Once you have your car, all you need is your VIN to get signed up for the discounted class - no need to wait months for the letter.

They basically say ball of right foot on break and move the side/heel of the right foot to gas. Revs should be around 3500.

Thanks. Not that I want to belabor this but I attached a couple diagrams that show the two different styles I've been reading about. Spring Mountain teaches you to do it like the black and white version not the version with the red and green feet right?

Yep, like the black and white diagram. Basically turning your right foot sideways.

Yep. And actually even a bit more of the right side of the foot touching the gas.

Hope to be able to go to that course some day. Everyone that has attended has been very pleased with the experience.

just got back from a 2 day course... they taught us the version that is red/green ... not the black and white version.

I had problems doing it as did a few others and reverted to the rev matching feature. :-(

I booked for this August because I plan to be in Vegas for that week. You only have a year from taking delivery to attend the school so don't wait for the packet from GM to book it. My certificate came 4 months after taking delivery but I did not wait for it. I just gave them my vin to book the 2 day school.

What an amazing experience so far. Tomorrow is day 3 (open track practice). You need to take this class if you want to know the C7 true abilities.

Yep.
Totally agreed.
But $1000 is still much better than full price of $2500. Thanks GM...

Just confirming: the 2 day class is $1,000 (plus insurance) with a Corvette VIN?

I just got back from the Spring Mountain driving course.
I loved it!!!
I highly recommend it. I did not buy the extra insurance, I don't think it was needed.
For those planning on going, bring a GoPro or a SD card to record your sessions.

Facilities and meals were very good.

I'm planning on returning for their level 2.
