$1k isn't bad at all. My dealer (Courtesy Chevrolet in San Diego, CA) required a $10k non-refundable deposit. My deposit money was transferred to them on March 28, which I've heard was the last day to allocate for 2015s. However, found out that they have not even submitted my order yet for my 2LT convertible- artic white with kalahari. They claim they will do it this week, but I'm a bit skeptical after reading all the posts here.
If they can't get the order in, I sincerely hope they don't try to hold onto my money until the 2016s arrive, which would be 4-5 months. Am tempted to try to cancel it and just find a dealer that has a similar car in stock, and try to get it with the supplier discount.

I chatted with the GM rep. The rep said they had the order, but no TPW. She said to check back in a week. I am really worried that the Velocity Yellow constraint is going to stop me from getting it.

"Had the order" means NOTHING. As soon as the dealer enters the order, GM "has the order". However, until it moves to 2000, it may as well not even exist. Not going to get built unless you get to 2000. Unfortunately, Velocity Yellow is going to be a show stopper for you.
Ask your dealer to provide you a screen shot of your order from GM OrderWorkbench. That will show the order status code. You are undoubtedly at 1100.
All of this reading is depressing me because I think I'm in the same boat. Went to a local dealer trying to get them to accept my GM Supplier Discount. Well they didn't but was willing to meet me 1/2 way. They said they had 6 allocations (seemed odd to have that many so late in March) but I placed an order anyway. Artic White Z51 3LT w/red interior, white top, black wheels, red calipers & carbon flash badges. They wanted $5k deposit (refundable). Not a big deal to me as long as I get the car. Now I'm concerned because here is my status.
3/21 Ordered at Dealer
3/24 CCC gave me my code of 1100
4/6 Still at 1100
No movement. If he had allocations like he said shouldn't it have moved beyond 1100 already?

Exactly how so? I feel they did too but which part? The allocations? The deposit? The fact that they made me feel like I'm getting the car. They did say I'd probably have to wait about 12 weeks for it. The fact that it's stuck at 1100 does that mean they have no allocations and won't see one in the near future?
Ok - I have read the posts regarding dealer allocations and constraints. My question is, will I recieve delivery of my C7 by summer? After reading some of these posts; I am really worried. I placed my order in the beginning of March. My order includes the Z51 package, Volocity Yellow, Magnetic Ride and the painted roof. I am now wondering if I will get it. I put a substantial down payment. I also have a C6, but dont want to drive it as I am trading it in. But whats the sense of not driving it if the C7 wont be here until who knowd when! My dealer is not on the list of top Vette dealers. Any insight would be appreciated.

There is NO such thing as a non refundable deposit. The correct term is a Liquidation clause in your contract which gives them the right to keep your deposit if YOU back out of the deal AFTER they have acheived a 2000(order accepted by GM) in which case they would have to take the car anyway and then your deposit goes to LIQUIDATE the debt/damages... IF they cannot deliver a car to you by the time that they promised(and you can still go and ask them to add a "drop dead" date which you both initial).THEN they HAVE to return your money. They have no damages if they failed to get the order accepted by GM and so they are NOT entitled to keep anything....i am not an actual attorney but i did stay at a Holdiay Inn Express last night,,,lol..no i actually was in the same position,,but i hung in there and got my car. In your case with the VY at 0% I would say "i only want the yellow that i ordered" and use that to get my deposit back. Good Luck!!!

They may, in fact, have 6 allocations remaining. However, the issue is that your order contains two items on constraint - Z51 (50%) and the painted roof (45%). Together, the odds are that only 22.5% of allocations will allow both of those. If these allocations were all at one time, there is a good chance he could get 1 meeting your order (assuming no one is in line ahead of you at your dealer). However, these 6 allocations are probably spread across 2 or more consensus cycles. If he gets 2 allocations in each cycle, then the odds are against any of them allowing both constraint items (22.5% of 2 = .45 cars).
Constraints don't actually follow the percentages precisely, but it gives you a good idea of the real situation.
It looks like you may have to reorder for a 2016, as your 15 order will not carry over, dealer may have had an allocation but your options were on constraint.
Search the big dealers to see if they have a VY in stock or coming their way soon.
Do not know where you are located but if anywhere near Canton, Texas- Lewis Chevrolet took my order plus two of my friends March 16th and received allocation within three weeks for all three Corvettes. They are two 2LT and Z06.
All three are coded 3000 with Target Production Dates of April 20th and then from what we hear about two weeks later at the dealer.
All of us paid just $100 down as Mr. Lewis does GOB business (Good ole boy) transactions. Been in business since '65 so he has reputation at stake.

I checked with my dealer today and this was thier reply: "Your order HAS been pushed thru and accepted and all of the other ones have not. So you'll be first before anyone else in the country that ordered a Z51. You're #1 on the build list which is a very good sign."

Google GM Live Chat and ask them,
make sure you give them your GM ORDERWORKBENCH #

They just told you what you wanted to hear. That is probably complete BS. Get a screen shot of the GM OrderWorkbench. It will have your order status. If you are still at 1100 you don't have squat.
wny is not all that far from Dearborn Mi. I had extremely good luck with Les Stanford and my order progressed exactly to the day as Dennis said it would. if your deal goes bad give them a call.
I just checked Les Stanfords website and they have a vy 2lt z51 in stock.

making you feel like the car was about to be ordered that week. My dealership told me straight up about the allocation problem.
I switched to a big corvette dealership who is owned by one of my dads friends. my dad placed the order for me directly with the owner of the dealership. said he can for sure get me a 2015 in time before the dead line. lets hope.
My dealership claims they have 3 allocations left for 2015, and my order is one of the 3 ;-) Just hope that Arctic White with Kalahari doesn't have any constraints...haven't seen any mention of that in this thread.

AW and Kalahari have never been constrained. However, is it a Z51? Z51's are constrained. A coupe? If a coupe, which roof? All but the transparent roofs are on constraint.
